Would an interracial couple involving an Indian man with a white woman face a lot of problems in the UK?
I lived in London for nearly 10 years and never heard anyone pass comment on interracial couples. I went out with guys from africa, south and east asia and it was never mentioned by friends, colleagues or any other people I came across. There are many mixed race couples in London and it is rare for people to look twice. If you are visiting London, I doubt anyone would bat an eyelid.In some parts of the UK which are still predominantly white I have experienced people asking questions or being curious towards mixed race couples. It could be irritating but in my experience wasn't hostile.I cannot speak for areas which have large Indian/Pakistani communities. From reading the UK media there are tensions between white/asian communities in some areas but I cannot comment on this specifically, maybe someone else can.

Where I live (Los Angeles) it's like this: Black dude is with every race but black. That's the most common. Least common: White dude with a black woman or Latina. Asian dude with a black woman. Latino man with a black woman. Look, basically black women are azzed out in Los Angeles. lol I'm a black woman and I'm reporting what I see.

Dear Kristina, I'm the white half of a bw/wm couple and I know several other such couples. I have some white friends who are interested to marry black women but haven't met the right one yet. I'm from Australia btw. Black population here is very small but I believe a high percentage of black women here are dating interracially. Please don't be so pessimistic and don't turn emo. I've never been to the south of USA so I don't know what's it like there, if it's so frustrating for you there consider moving to a better place.

I dated a hispanic chick for several years (I live very clost to SA) I'm caucasion, And her family were always starting some kind of ****. I think it's b/c I took better care of her and her kids then their mates took care of them, anyways this town is smaller than SA and I don't think ya'll have any troubles there, I always felt comfortable taking my gf out there.......... I miss LA, but wouldn't attempt having a interracial relationship there, being as though I was born there and know how, people there can be simpletons on that issue.
Why is AF-WM the most common interracial couple for Caucasian men?
There's a lot of factors in this question which might contribute to the commonness of AW/WM couples, I will refrain from making opinions, but rather base my answer on studies. Studies suggest that White men prefer the oriental faces of Asian women, which might contribute to more AW/WM pairings. Studies have also suggested that Asian women are the most preferred race of woman in the US and that White men are the most preferred race of men in the US. They could probably pair up more because of having the same status in education, attractiveness and finance. Studies have also suggested that East Asian population is generally more intelligent than the Caucasian population, but that men are more intelligent than women (minus the biases). Thus east Asian women are generally smarter than black and white women and white men are generally smarter than white women, leading to a similar intellect between Asian women and White men. There might be other reasons.
Why does irish people stare at interracial couples?
@ Becky, they really, really do stare, but i have noticed that they stare less if the guy is black and the lady is white or some other nationality, maybe it is not common to see a black woman with an Irish man here, i am not saying that the Irish is racist, because they are not, my husband's family are the best, and they adore me as i do them, but i find the staring to be quite rude.
