FIRST, Reagan DIDN'T end Communism... and I bet you can't name a single other good thing that is attributed to him. The strategy that actually ended Communism is all spelled out in the Pentagon Papers- the leaking of which led to the infamous Watergate scandal. The Pentagon Papers, of course, describe liberal President Harry Truman's plan for supporting native anti-Communist forces wherever and whenever Communist revolution was brewing, based on the understanding that we could outspend the Communists, bankrupt them, and create an atmosphere ripe for capitalist revolution. The plan came to its successful conclusion when in 1991, in what is arguably the single most heroic act of the Cold War, Boris Yeltsin stopped an attempted coup perpetrated by the Communist party against its own democratic leader, Mikhail Gorbachev, by climbing on top of a tank and convincing its occupants to join the coup's opposition. So Reagan said, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall." There was no risk that came with that statement, no heroism... just a pretty sound bite. Mr. Gorbachev, Mr. Yeltsin, and many, many Soviet citizens risked their lives on that August day in 1991 to end Communism in their nation. It is to THEM that the fall of Communism can be credited... and to the Truman Plan, outlined in the Pentagon Papers, which spell out the true U.S. role in the downfall of the USSR. Why do some people think Bush is a bad President?
Because he's made some bad choices...but not all on his OWN. Bush has an entire administration helping him push big "don't push me" red war buttons. I dont believe the war should have been this long, or this expensive--I was expecting something similar to Desert Storm. But, I haven't forgotten that back when the US was reveling in a national bond after 9/11 that I too thought going to war was the way to prevent future dangers. Unfortunately, things never pan out the way we want them to and in every foreign battle US has been in, we have always rebuilt the economies we destroyed. We aren't the Vikings apparently--contrary to international opinion. People blame Bush for the deaths of their sons and daughters failing to realize that the military is voluntary that their brave sons and daughters took that risk for all Americans even the ones that are so liberal they don't stand up for anything right or wrong. Personally, I think he has done a lot of bad things for the country--and taking on the Iraqis and some sort of ward wasn't at all right. Our economy has suffered immensely from it, and that more than most things causes the resentment here.

This one's fun because it isn't very nasty and doesn't really hurt anything, just drives people up the wall. Get onto someone's computer and take a screenshot of their desktop by hitting CTRL+PrintScreen. Open up a program like Paint and paste the image into it, then save the picture. Now change their wallpaper to that picture. Hide the taskbar and put all their icons into a folder that you can hide somewhere inconspicuous on their desktop. When they get on the computer, it looks like their regular desktop, but nothing works when they click on it. Have fun giggling while they go into a flurry of cursing and rebooting, trying to get their "frozen" computer working.

Sunnis thought it should just be the most pious and thus Abu Bakr. It's all ancient politics to be honest that divide modern day Muslims.
