I always thought she was cute, like in your pic. But after seeing her "Bad Romance" video and her Elle magazine spread, I guess I do actually consider her pretty hot now. That is a great question! And it will be difficult to get an honest answer because each has her own fanbase. Except me: not a fan of either, so take it or leave it.They are equal in talent and musicianship. Great show-women. They are in two different genres: R&B and the other: Pop.The reason I’m not a fan of either: too much marketing / hype on both. I’m into artists who aren’t into the Pop manufactured machines. Example: Brandi Carlile. She is an amazing artist and will go down in all the hall of fame arenas if she continues on the current trajectory. If you want to watch an artist who is a living legend in her craft, watch Brandi Carlile. Beyonce, Gaga, they are the Queens of their genres and worshipped accordingly, and they have both the critic’s and masses favor.But look deeper and find artists who truly are into the craft, not a big glitz and glamour show, and you will find people of depth and sincerity, baring their souls, not for the love of fame, but because of the true artistry within themselves. To each his own, but that’s why I’m not into mega pop-stars. They are talented, just don’t like the (over) hype.

Sure, for pop music and as a songwriter she’s pretty solid, bordering on the artistic / genuine side. I can even say that without having to put on my poker face.
