Do You Think Obama And Russian President Vladimir Putin Have Had

Does Vladimir Putin have any respect for President Obama?

It's irrational for a president of any country to “fear” a president of any other. Your passage at “"he continues to annex territories” is ridiculous - Russia has annexed nothing and Crimea joined Russia as a subject based on referendum, which was perfectly legitimate as Crimea has been an autonomous region with the respective clause written in its legislation. As a resident of Sevastopol, I don't care what US propaganda says regarding the referendum, after all, I saw it all with my own eyes. Further, he "continueS supporting Assad regime”. Assad is a democratically elected president and represents the legitimate government of Syria. His alleged (made up) personality flaws are irrelevant as again, it's up to Syrian people and them alone to invoke any legal proceedings, or not, that would impeach him if they had to. An armed “rebelion” directed at overthrowing national government is illegal in any country, including US (any support of that in specifically US, grants the participants the jail term of 20 year), so by aiding the “rebelion”, US is an accessory of a crime and everything that US is doing in Syria is illegal and immoral, so it should be US to fear what they are involved with, not Russia. In turn, Russia operates in Syria on absolutely legal basis as Russia was invited and requested to assist with the stabilization of the country by the official government of that country. So, the bottom line, Russia has done nothing illegal to “fear” anyone. Russia will work as an equal partner with any willing country on a mutually respectful basis and if there's anything that Putin “continues” doing, it's stating that fact, as well as being loyal to Russian integrity as a nation and Russia’s allies. As far as respect - respect is earned. Last 3 American presidencies have done very little to deserve Russia’s respect and a lot to damage former relationships, so, the real question is, when will US deserve our respect. And I sincerely hope that the new presidency will work with us to earn it back.

What if Vladimir Putin were the president of the USA and Barack Obama were the president of Russia?

Let's set aside the legitimacy concerns, such as the place-of-birth requirement.Obama would fit in Russia like ice cream in a steam room - refreshing, but unfit to last. He might survive the first few assassination attempts, and would make serious political decisions on media freedoms, on curbing Russia's military commitments abroad, then attempt to redirect military funding to boost the economy. He might even get far enough to launch a reform of the legal system. However, without significant parliamentary support, his reforms won't go anywhere and he will eventually get stuck (if he survives until the end of his term without impeachment).Unlike Russia, the US has serious checks and balances between the executive, legislative and judicial branches, not to mention the media that covers them. Putin would not try to make abrupt changes right away, but rather extend his control to various three-letter agencies and the military. Putin may gain some traction with socially conservative republicans, but it's unclear what his signature initiatives might be and whether he will withstand pressure from the Democrats. Putin's law credentials are a lot weaker than Obama's, and his interests lie elsewhere, but US politics rely on law much more strongly than Russian politics. Therefore, Putin will won't accomplish anything by legislative means, as any serious initiatives will run against the established laws, doctrines and party platforms. He won't last beyond the first term, unless he starts a major war. But even that requires approval from the Congress, which unlike the Russian Duma and Federation Council, doesn't usually kowtow to the president.

What did Barack Obama say about Vladimir Putin (President of Russia) before Obama was elected President of the USA?

likely nicer things than he is saying now.  Before Putin got the idea in his head that he needs to be ruler for life and Eastern Europe belongs to Russia, Russia was on a more westerly economic path, more imports/exports with Europe, lots of petroleum sales to Europe, more open borders with the West, etc...It was in our interest to encourage such westernization so we said nice things about Russia and Putin to try to encourage such develop such behavior, hence statements like W's about seeing into Putin's soul or the "reboot" of US-Russian relations.  Putin has decided to take his county in a totally different direction, hence the change of attitudes towards Russia by world leaders.

Does President Obama "love" President Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, president of China?

No, I think you might be thinking of the bromance between these two men: “I looked the man in the eye. I found him to be very straightforward and trustworthy. We had a very good dialogue. I was able to get a sense of his soul; a man deeply committed to his country and the best interests of his country.”

Which American president told Vladimir Putin that "I can be more flexible after the election"?

No president did that. Get your facts straight!

I believe you're somehow erroneously trying to refer to President Obama's comment but he never said any such thing to Putin.

Edit: It's just amazing to me that you cons constantly post false statements on this site -- and then other cons agree with you. You're a very careless, uninformed lot.
