Do You Think Out After A Growth Spurt.

How do you know your going through a growth spurt?

Well sounds to me that you are already in your growth spurt, I should know haha, I'm in the final stages oh mine. Growths spurts can come in different signs and ways. some parts take longer then others to come, and some parts come too fast. For example; you say that you are starting to grow hair everywhere, well that is the number one sign of a growth spurt. Every human being that has ever walked this earth, has had to go through that dramatic change, slow but dramatic. The sleepless nights you are having are due to your body changing, You might not have grown an inch but like i said, some parts take longer than others. You might start to feel sores when you do begin to grow though, like around your knee-caps. the food consumption is also normal, especially if you are playing sports. weight gain is also due to eating a lot but that weight very soon turn into height. I think it is safe to assume that you are not binge eating since you can so clearly see the other signs of growth spurt. And as for working out, the only thing that is the problem about this is that if you lift too much weight it will stump-en your growth height wise. But if you really want to get fit and get your daily exercise i would advise running. It is an all around work out that leaves you great after the first initial painful steps. But if you still want to know more about growth spurts and what it means for you, then look up puberty. Trust me, its a very interesting topic while your going through it. :)

Will I hit a late growth spurt?

This is a post I made a short while ago that should allow you to answer your own question.(Deleted Introduction)For Males: The Average age males stop growing at is 19–20. This is true for males that begin puberty (there growth spurt, at the age of 12.5… the average age it begins). Now to figure out if you have had a growth spurt (easily can be achieved), if your parents/doctors have data of your height somewhere look for a peak in growth (bout 3–4inches a year for the average male). Now that you know the age you started your growth spurt you can find your offset. For every age + or - the age of 12.5 you began your growth spurt (14 would be -1.5 because you began 1.5 years later then average). Now a growth spurt lasts (usually) for 2 years. After your growth spurt ends, you usually grow for 4 more years after that (each year your growth rate declines). So if you began at the age of 14, you would continue to grow well the average person stopped 1.5 years prior (because they began 1.5 years earlier, so they end earlier). This means your growth spurt would be between 14–16, and your final growth would be between 20–21.For Females: Most females stop growing between the ages of 15–16 (Any big growth… they actually grow half a cm from 16–20). This applies to female who began puberty (started there growth spurt) at an average age (which is 11). Girls will grow for 4 years after they start there growth spurt. Here’s a fact: Most females stop growing 1–2 years after they have there first period. Now using the rule of offsets as I explained in the “For Males” section (bout mid of that paragraph), you can figure out when you’ll stop growing. If you could give me (in the comments) your height at different ages, current age, gender, and current height. I’ll be able to conclude the age you began your growth spurt, which will enable me to give you a relatively accurate estimate (I’ll use multiply methods/account for offset and averages and find a base average, just to be sure).I hope this helped answer your question :D

Can I still get a growth spurt after my period?

You probably will grow some more but since you've already gotten your period you won't have a huge growth spurt. I mean I hit mine in 6th grade and I haven't grown at all since. (I'm in high school now) and I'm way shorter than most of my family and I guess that's the way it's going to be.

Will i thin out after growth spurt?

Can you still have a growth spurt after facial hair?

Im a 15 year old male (16 in a month) and 6'1. I havent had a growth spurt in my life yet and have just grown steadily. The past year i have developed a deeper voice and my adams apple is knoticible. I have also started to get chest and some facial hair. Will i get a growth spurt? BTW my dad is 6'1- 6'2 and my mom is 5'2-5'3... I know i will be close to my dads height but every generation gets taller. How much taller do you think ill get and when will i get my growth spurt?
THe reason i am asking this is because most of the kids i kno stopped growing after facial hair.. but they went through puberty earlier

Will I continue to have growth spurts?

Okay, I'm a 13 year old boy(turning 14 this month, on the 23rd), 5'1ish last time I checked, about 8-9 months ago. Before 6th grade, I was pretty much shorter than the rest of the classroom. When I hit 6th grade however, I had a significant increase in height as well as my voice beginning to mature and I THINK i started growing pimples, and I became average height compared to the other kids. That was amazing for me, until..

I'm now 13(or 14), and all the other kids seem to be growing taller than me, like going back to the ratio of when I was younger.

This is the summer before high school smacks us like a train wreck, and my friends are starting to grow taller than me, so the balance is gone.

My buddies are going through their growth spurt (busting out in pimples, etc), and I'm afraid I already HAD mine so I won't get one and catch up like last time and I'll be stuck under 5'5 for the rest of my life.

QUESTIONS:
-Did I mature too early?
-Will I continue to have growth spurts, even if they're not as significant?
-Is it possible for me to break out above the 5'5 area, or at least 5'4?

I put off asking this question to people because I felt kind of insecure talking about puberty to people because I didn't really trust anyone to understand. Until i found yahoo answers, you guys are like freaking experts.

How much do grow after your growth spurt?(Male)

Most males have their first growth spurt at age 12, and it lasts until age 14. The growth spurt typically starts when the male starts puberty, which on average, is age 12 [1]. So judging by your age, and if you’re average, you’d have finished a growth spurt already. Most males grow for 4 years after their puberty growth spurt, hence why most males stop growing at age 19 (for the US and UK) [2]. During this time, the male will likely experience their growth rate decrease each year dramatically.Since the typical male averages 3.0 inches per year during their 2 year puberty growth spurt, they’d decrease in growth rate from age fifteen. If you’re average, then you’d likely end up at 6′2.5″  .[3]If you’re not average, and you’re an early bloomer, your physical development has likely been stunted, and you’ll probably stop growing soon.Footnotes[1] Disorders of Puberty[2] https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/se...[3] https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/se...

Can you have two growth spurts after 16, if you're a male? I am 175 cm now and I was growing steadily all my life, I think.

Sure it is possible because at 16 your body is still under going puberty changes.  This means that your hormone levels are still increasing.  Some people do not stop changing until they are about 20 years old., but it doesn't mean that they continue growing. If your growth spurts are an inch of two it's OK.  If you grow 4-6 inches more with each spurt, you must see a doctor. That type of growth is not normal and could be an indication of a serious disorder.

Do you lose weight during a growth spurt?

Guys usually hit a growth spurt between 15 and 17. They stop growing at around 21.

During a growth spurt, your body goes through a rapid period where you grow up to 5-6 inches per year. Usually people grow 2-4 inches per year. As you grow taller, any fat you may have accumulated on your stomach or wherever is used as energy or its simply spread out over your new larger frame. This makes it seem like you loose fat, when really, you're just getting taller. But you sometimes do loose fat, as your body utilizes the fat by converting it into energy and using this energy to grow from.

If you loose weight during puberty, you are unlikely to reach your full adult height potential. Make sure you keep at a healthy weight. Increased hunger suggests you may be going through a growth spurt and therefore, you must listen to your body and eat.

Eat dairy products (milk, cheese, yoghurt), protein rich foods (animal products like meat, fish, poultry) and lots of vegetables and fruits. Try to avoid soy products.

Exercise a lot and sleep well. Make sure to eat even more if you exercise a lot as you need to replace the energy you use. The reason you should exercise is so your bones gain density and get more healthy (the more exercise you do, the healthier your bones will get).

Good Luck . E mail me for more questions!
