Do You Think People Can Actually Fly One Day

Does anyone really think humans can fly?

Not being a nerd right here.Well, coming to the question,Yes, I normally fly at high altitudes at 30000 ft or more height when Iam in my dreams and fantasies. I really think people can fly. Maybe, I'm a lady Elon musk right there.I feel like, I have wings when I get superexcited about silly things. One day or the other, I hope my dream comes true and We humans can fly too.Like birds that wander regions, I wanna fly to the horizons to meet the dawn.Keep smiling :)

How many people are in the air flying at any given time?

According to flightracker.com, there are 6,382 flights in the air right now... I searched for commercial airline flights only.Presuming an average 150 passenger per flight that is 970,000 people. Right now (Friday, 11 AM CST)Maybe a averag pax count of 100 is more conservative, in which case the number of pax in the air right now would be closer to 638,000 people. Still, that's a large number.I guessed at the number of pax per flight. There are a lot of 737 that carry about 150, many 747 and 767 and 777 that have way more than 200, and a large number of regional jets carrying about 100. (all full). I think my guess of 100-150 people per plane is good.See this : What is the average amount of passengers on a plane? You also have to temper my numbers. I took a worldwide sample of planes in the air at 11 AM US central time. A large percent of the worlds traffic is in the US and in the US most people travel in the daytime and not in the wee hours. So my numbers are probably peak numbers.Final Answer: Commercial airliners carry a peak of 640,000 to 970,000 passengers at any given moment during the day.

Would you fly across the world to spend just one day with the person you love?

ABSOLUTELY!!!! But, ONLY if I TRULY love them. I wouldn’t dare do it for just anybody. If I didn’t love them, I would tell them to “get lost”. OR, I would just suddenly stop talking to them & change my phone number so that they couldn’t contact me ever again. If I TRULY love somebody, then I would fly across the world 100 times just to spend 1 day with them. If I don’t truly love them, then forget it. I wouldn’t waste 1 second or 1 penny to fly anywhere to see them. When I truly love somebody, I’ll give them & the relationship all that I have to give, BUT, if I give it my all, & they don’t, I’ve learned the hard way that they don’t deserve me, my love, or anything else from me, so they need not expect it. THAT’S when you know that I’ve had enough, I’ve accepted the fact that they’ve treated me like shit, & I give up & move on & find somebody that is willing to give the relationship 100%.

Can flight be cancelled because not many people bought tickets?

I have flight after 2 weeks and when I check seats, there's no one there checked in. When you check in, it allocates seats automatically or you purchase your preferred seats.the check in starts from 30 days until 6 hours until flight. Everyday the ticket's price is increasing to extremely high amount and I doubt people will pay so much to buy ticket.
If there are max 10 people, will flight be cancelled?

Why are people so fascinated with aviation and jet planes?

since when I was like 5, planes fascinated me by:

their beauty
(any plane, especially during takeoffs and landings--very graceful. Come on, its a huge machine taking to the skies, from being a ground craft to an aircraft. the transition is always beautiful)

Their power
(throttle opens, huge noise, HUGE acceleration and its a 200 ton plane! what has that eh? F1? maybe but what does that do besides turn in circles?)

the science behind it
WHY? does something that big, with no visible means holding it up, flying? how come a 200 ton thing full of people is flying through the air without falling?I wanted to know everything behind that magic

and the Dream I think every real pilot has
one day, I want to fly without any help from anything. Just me. In the air, among the clouds. See the ground beloooowww.

If I had telekinesis, could I fly?

When people would ask me if I had any power, what would it be, at first I'd respond by saying the power of flight. I mean, how cool would it be to be able to fly around town either for the fun of it or for an escape? But one day, I came home from school and decided to watch some TV after I finished my loads of homework. I wanted to have a small break before I get started of chores. Well, after I sat down on the couch, I had realized that my remote was sitting on the opposite side of the room on the entertainment center. Oh how badly did I wish that I could move objects with my mind at that moment, because I was already tired from my day.
This is when it hit me.
Now, I'm not saying I'll use this to be last or anything, but I did think this:
If I had telekinesis, I could fly...right?
It just makes since. I mean, it won't work the same way as having the power of flight. I'm sure that would including different areas in the mind and body, but wouldn't I be able to pick myself up with my mind? Wouldn't this make since? If I couldn't lift my own body with my mind for some reason, how would that be answered?

How many airplanes fly each day in the world?

According to IATA, in 2017 the estimated number of commercial flights is 36.8 million, not including private, business and military aviation. More than 100′000 flights a day, well and truly. If you consider non-commercial flights, including unauthorized and non-tracked, that will be about 50 million per year. The safety is remarkable at that: 2017 became the safest year in aviation since 1905, considering relation of the number of aircraft, number of flights, number of people, number of passengers and number of fatal accidents. This year, global average chance to die from aviation-related reasons, including falling aircraft debris and air raids is about the same, if not less, than a chance to be fatally shot in the United States. Except for the victims of air raids, including those performed with unmanned aerial vehicles (the absolute majority of such victims this year was concentrated in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Afghanistan, and not too many of them were innocent bystanders), any kind of flight took lives of 707 people, 52 of them on the ground and 655 on board of an aircraft. Considering the 50 million estimate above, your chance to die in aviation-related accident is about 0,000014. Won’t bet on that, if you ask me ;).Only three scheduled flights ended with victims, all of them were short regional — two in Russia (10 victims, 10 survivors) and one in Canada (1 person of 25 on board the WestJet ATR-42 died later in hospital). All other fatal flights were military, private, cargo or business.

What would you do if you were invisible for 1 day?

Beat the sh*t out of my boss for one day. Make him think that he is crazy. Mean bastard.

Will humans be able to fly in the future?

I’ve read all the answers below and they are true in a way. But if we analyse your question we may find an error. Technically humans do fly now. Either with powered of non powered crafts we can stay air born for various occasions and situations. But if it comes down to humans being needed to fly with out external support for survival as a species there are only two options. Either to learn to fly or get extinct. So according to Darwinism when an event of natural selection occurs , and there is a possibility for it to occur in the future, humans may evolve int getting able to fly. There are lot of “if” in this logic. But a possibility none the less.
