Do You Think People With Piercings And Tattoos Are Bad People Or Do They Seem Unapproachable

Do tattoo's and peircings make someone seem unapproachable?

The reactions to piercings and tatoos are as varied as the people with the piercings and tatoos. Personally I find someone that has piercings / tats to be even more approachable. This would be because of my exposure to such people, and I find that those with body modifications are nothing if not bluntly honest. Always remember that people are affraid of the unknown. This applies to the perceptions subcultures as well. Mr. Middleclass average Joe knows nothing about, nor has any interest in what he perceives to be "that type", so obviously his perception will be different from mine. Keep in mind that we as a race strive for the acceptance of our peers; it would logically follow that if someone markedly different from me and my firends enters the room, they will not be instantly received unquestioningly. In short, don't expect your grandmothers euker group to ask you about the story behind your tatoos, but don't be offended because they don't.

PLEASE ANSWER: Do you think nose piercings are trashy or classy?

it depends if you wear loads of makeup and have extentions, then i dont think a nose pearcing would be right for you. If you don't then it might not suit you because you need to suit the part. Hey i just realised that they are infact trashy. ahahh!
actually, they'd look alright on emo's so if your onea them den ok but other than that then just nah.

Girls, what makes a guy unapproachable?

if hes cocky then im out. no questions asked. confidence is good but not flat out disrespect, a guy cant be shallow and frown all the time. this is something i have to work on myself but still smile and dont be a grinch. kay, also, putting out her friends is not cool, you will need their approval. thats the biggest warning sign i can think of, and the basics too-hygiene and manners you know. actually hygiene is REALLY important, lol

If im sensitive to infection in piercings, will i have bad luck with tattoos too?

i have 2 piercings in each ear, wanted to get more but my ears get infected so easily that i had to let one of them grow in, and even when i wear good quality, nickel and lead free earrings i still get infections in the piercings.
im gunna start getting tattoos soon and i wanna know if this means i will get them infected easily too..?

and is there anything i can do to help or prevent it?

What do you think the worst case of Multiple Personality Disorder in history is?

I don't know how you would define 'worst case'. If you are specifically looking at the number of alters or fragments, some systems are what is considered 'poly-fragmented' and its more like shattered glass with hundreds of parts making up one complete memory. There are systems inside systems that do not have connection with one another.

Or how about the level of functioning? Sybil was fairly functional in life. Many individuals with DID are. They have jobs and kids. Many do struggle, end up in bad relationships and spend a lot of time in therapy, but there is hope for recovery. Some, especially without treatment, are less functional and end up mis-diagnosed and institutionalized or suicide. Some do not make it out of the abuse.

I personally don't see the need to compare. Anyone who has experienced DID first was unfortunate enough to have horrible childhood abuse which is wrong. Second, within themselves, they were resourceful enough to find a way to 'escape' and survive it. The whole concept of the disorder shows strength and resiliency and I don't believe looking at it as 'bad' is the best way to recover.

Further, most individuals with DID do not share their horrors with the world, so even if we were to do a comparison, there is no way to seek out whatever we may deem as the 'worst case'.

Why are self-piercings so successful?

I know A LOT of people who have done self-piercing (and aren't trained to do so). Not just with piercing needles but with safety pins, nails, etc. None of the people I know who have pierced themselves have gotten infections or had rejected piercings.

Piercings in my area run around 80 dollars, which is money I just don't have.

If I read up on self-piercing and purchase two 14g hollow piercing needles in the package (not pre-used) and sterilize the jewlery do you think I could do a successful self-piercing?

Btw, this is not a matter of age, i'm 19. I just don't feel that paying 80 dollars PLUS jewlery cost is reasonable right now, and why shell out over 200 dollars when I can do them myself.

Whats worse, cutting or self piercings?

Grr I'm sick of the whole emo branding thing. People are such a**holes sometimes.
People won't ask questions about piercings, because they're more widely accepted in society...but they're pretty much equal I'd say. You can count in self-tattooing as well probably...(what I used to do)
People generally cut to take out agression/anger, because they never really learned to take out these feelings any other way. A lot of people who were physically abused as small children later cut as teens because its a sort of subliminal "punishment" on daily things that kinda go wrong.
Recently cutting in societly is just kinda pushed under the table, or thought to be pre-suicidal acts (though it rarely is) and people who cut were referred to as "emotionally unstable" or I guess this is where the term "emo" came from...
Anyway, a lot of people who often cut have some level of depression, so you might wanna talk to a school counselor or someone you trust if possible. Good luck to ya :)

Because dating is hard. Especially now that everybody has their nose in their phone, their windows rolled up in their mobile living room. Once you leave college and get a professional job … where do you meet a partner? When you date, how does that become a relationship? As you get experience in life, your “not dating you” filtering skills get much better.Go online to a dating site, and message guys you like. Any women I speak with about “online dating” tells a similar story … a bunch of creeps messaging them every day trying to find any warm body. I can count on one hand the messages I’ve received in three years that were unsolicited by me. I think this is an analogy for dating outside of on-line too.I’m pretty intuitive … I know when your situational awareness is heightened and your watching me, even if your pretending to not see me. I don’t know if I’m the hot guy you want to ask you out, or the creep your afraid is gonna try and rape you. Also, determining your age has become next to impossible. I see teenagers built like 30 year olds, 40 year olds that look 14. Teenagers with piercings and tattoos. Next time you see that hot guy, make eye contact, smile, start a conversation.
