In short Chinese culture is a mixture of great arrogance and great insecurity. This is what happens when Confucian values of social hierarchies is exposed to a global world.Chinese for thousands of years held themselves as the top of the world. China in Chinese means 中国 or the "central nation." China saw itself as the center of the world, and the outsiders as uncultured barbarians. This kind of thinking still permeates a lot of Chinese culture. For example, the Chinese think not that they are assimilating or oppressing Tibet, but bringing the backward people the greatness of Chinese civilization. The fact that the Tibetans violently disagree with this dumbfounds and angers the Chinese because it threatens their core belief. And so in this logic, the Chinese also feel they are superior to other backward/poorer peoples. Black people in China aren't treated very nicely. White people are adored with no reason.The Chinese feel a great insecurity to races or peoples who they perceive to have something they lack. Japan deeply hurt China's self image in WWII; but more so because it was a fellow Asian country that was a part of the tribute states in imperial China. It again grated against what the Chinese thought of themselves at the top of the social pyramid. Westerners colonized China 100 years or so ago. Chinese feel a deep shame that hurts, and they are trying quickly to excavate this wound by showing the world they can throw the greatest Olympics ever, buy loads of shitty expensive handbags, etc. Though they might not admit it, the Chinese worship western culture and the trappings of what they see as civility. They send their kids to learn piano and violin, learn English, their top politicians send their kids to Western schools etc. If you know rich Chinese people in China you know their fixation on becoming more westernized living in faux villas, drinking bad red wine, going on shopping sprees to Europe etc.Deep down though the Chinese know what it is like to be kicked off the top pedestal and are trying to get back on as fast as possible. Money has become the measuring stick of who is better and who is worse.

Oh, yes.In fact, they’d probably find some way to blame minorities for the apocalypse, and to put minority survivors in harm’s way to promote their own survival. Racism is rarely a stand-alone aspect of someone’s character. It is generally associated with contempt for everyone who thinks differently, for experts, for people with property and resources they themselves lack, for anyone who is not ‘me’, so these individuals generally do not find it easy to work together with others of any kind.As a survival strategy, it is ultimately self-defeating, as they’d wind up on their own either by sacrificing others, or by being cast out of survivor groups as inimical to group survival or just plain troublemakers.
What Do You Think About Arrogant Immigrants or Hispanic People?
This might be a weird question but i would like to know what you think about Mexicans who believe to be the better then anyone, or anything in the world. But as some of you might know. Last sunday was the final Gold Cup Match in soccer. The U.S won against Mexico.After the game they didnt even show the whole Ceremony, and when they were interviewing Donovan they had comments written across the Gringo Team Won which I thought that was sooo rude. But anywho. As soon as the whole thing was over Mexican people started commenting on how the United States Sucks, And that Mexico Is always and always will be number 1. And to make matters worse they started making rude remarks about the central american countries, when they had nothing to do with their loss in the gold cup game. I remember one person saying that the Mexico was ontop of The United States Kinda Like saying that Mexico Rules The U.S. and some people whom even said that Mexicans Hate the U.S. Im Hispanic and Love it here in the U.S

What is it called when someone thinks that their culture is better than someone else's or when they think that other people should adapt to that person's culture, because they believe it's comfortable for them but only to accept the person in that way instead of who they truly are. Example: Country music verses hip hop culture. In order for a man born and raised on a farm living the country life, not to like a person because of the music he listens to, or the way he/she dresses, feels a illusional impression that a person is a threat to him/ her without even letting themselves be open minded and accept the person for his way of living regardless of lifestyle, and be friendly towards him. Another Example: A white man goes to China, he's friendly to the Asian peoples and their culture. However, he sees a black man and he dresses like hip hop culture fashion, and he frowns upon him because he feels he should dress/act like himself. Why come a black man can't be himself like a chinamen?

Funny that I been in international logistics for a decade and have seen nothing similar to what you say you've observed. In fact, I have been suprised to find much more racism and arrogance in non-white non-Americans that I would have expected in my youth....totally debunking the silly thought many have that only the white American can be an arrogant racist. Perhaps in your travels you are looking for something that reflects negatively on your own people....a side effect of the self-guilt and self-loathing instilled in many white folks by liberal and biased public education systems and a wrongly apologist society. If you were making a similar comment about black people, most black people here at Y!A would even say you were not black, but rather a white imposter trying to cause trouble. Seeing how your account is rather new, I would put a few bucks in that slot that pays out for the black imposter of a white guy. (To some degree, that last part is some humor geared towards those who repeatedly respond to criticism in this manner....but hey, if the shoe fits I can play that silly game too.) So.....to answer your question.....your observation is not an example of the norm, as myself and many others will attest from their own observations. It is rather arrogant of you to assume your experiences, assuming you are being truthful, are proof enough to generalize the entire world....don't ya think? Why are exceedingly intellectual people so damn arrogant?
Worst kind of crowd to hang around? No it's not the losers, nor the average people, nor anyone else. It's those damned gifted people! Alright. I get it. You were born with better genes than the average person in America and myself were. Why the hell must they act so above everyone else? It's actually fairly annoying. I don't mind hard work and effort, but you can CLEARLY tell that most of these so-called geniuses just were born with a much more efficient brain then most. You can't control who you are, at least not to that extent. For being smart they always are blinded by their ego and lack any kind of humility.
