Do you think Subway is Unhealthy?
Subway is definitely a safer choice to say McDonald's or Wendy's, but as you know, the calories/carbs in Subway can very quickly add up. Your first option would be, (if you really prefer sandwiches to salads) opt for their whole grain breads instead of the herbs and cheese, which is white and has a lower nutrient value. The whole grain also provides fiber which takes longer to digest and thus helps you feel fuller. The second thing I would recommend is changing up your sauce, or asking for "just a little". They tend to put a lot of sauce on the sandwiches and the chipotle southwest is by no means low-calorie. The oven-roasted chicken breast is definitely lower fat than the tuna, as it is mixed with mayo. However, if you don't want the same sandwich every time, the tuna is a good source of omega-3's, so it's not a bad option either. As long as you're staying away from the sides though, you're well on your way=)
Why are restaurants so stingy with napkins? Don't the idiot managers know that it's a terrible health risk?
That little wetnap that your idiot waitress gave you is an anti-bacterial wipe specifically designed for people who are eating finger foods, like your ribs. You could ask her for more wetnaps; she would have gladly brought you those, not paper napkins. And as for spreading diseases, paper napkins do a much better job at spreading them, considering they get thrown in the garbage and I, as a waitress, have to touch them. If I touch your wetnaps, not your napkins, I touch something much more santitary. If you needed a napkin so bad, yes, you use your serving napkin in your lap. (Why else would we wrap you silverware in that napkin, for looks? No, it's there for you to wipe your hands if you need a napkin!) I assume she brought you the napkins to get you to quit being an ***. It seems your waitress was more concerned with spreading diseases that you were. Next time, try asking for more wetnaps. And remember, after the waitress has cleared your plates and touched your dirty napkins, she brings you your check in a little check binder....which she has to touch with her dirty napkin hands.
What is the best way to eat a Subway sub to avoid getting messy, without using any fork or knife, etc?
If you're getting a footlong, take the sub out of the bag unwrap it break it into the 2 pieces put the piece you're not eating on the bag wrap the end of the half you are eating, and enjoy that, gently blotting your face with your napkin. when finished, wrap up the other half in the same paper you just wrapped the first and eat it =) Then when you're done you hardly made a mess! I feel your pain, I LOAD mine up with all different veggies and sauces which can acually get really freakin messy too! Or just ask for extra napkins so that way they dont have to clean more later =) dont forget the white chocolate macedamia nut cookie for dessert!!
