Do You Think That Nancy Pelosi Truly Believes That

Do you believe that under Nancy Pelosi's leadership the House of Representatives will restore transparency, ethics, and unity?

Thanks for the A2A Bob.When did the House have transparency, ethics, and unity?I really don’t know.Since 1995 the Government Accountable Act allowed members of Congress to use money from the treasury to pay “hush-money” to sexual assault victims. Doesn’t exactly set a tone for transparency and ethics. And that might change under Pelosi’s leadership, but….. Notice her name isn’t on the proposed amendment. Text - H.R.4494 - 115th Congress (2017-2018): Congressional Accountability and Hush Fund Elimination ActIt does make an argument for unity. Politicians seem pretty unified in being neither transparent nor ethical.

Do you think Nancy Pelosi beat Donald Trump at his own game and he was not expecting it?

Do you think Nancy Pelosi beat Donald Trump at his own game and he was not expecting it?No, not at all.Nancy Pelosi was playing the game of government, following the established rules as laid out by the constitution. She didn’t pull out any trump (pun not intended) cards or archaic rules… anyone could have predicted her moves, and indeed, many did.The problem is that Trump was playing a completely different game, his game, and it didn’t work.Governing is about compromise. The House elected representatives met, hammered out a bill that was mutually acceptable to them, and voted on it. It passed. That is how our system of government works.Had our system continued to work, the Senate would have taken the vote onto the floor and either passed it or turned it down. Mitch McConnell, coward that he is, refused to follow the rules. He could have allowed the Senate to vote and we might have had a budget in time to prevent the government shutdown. Why do you think he didn’t allow the bill into the Senate? What would have happened if it passed? Then, it would have taken the president’s veto, which would have ended in a shutdown, and there would be no way Trump would be able to backpedal and blame the Democratic Party—which is exactly what he did, even after telling the American people, to the astonishment of Pelosi and Schumer, and on live TV no less, that he would “own the shut down”.That was McConnell playing government rules (not Trump rules) as well, but it was dirty rules nonetheless, and more than 800,000 civil servants, their families, and all that rely on the government suffered for it.Trump’s “game” is as simple as his posture. He is not a world-class negotiator as he would have his base believe. If he doesn’t get what he wants, he crosses his arms over his chest and resorts to threats. That isn’t governance- it’s what you get for electing a mediocre reality show star into the Oval Office.

Why do you believe Nancy Pelosi will outsmart Donald Trump?

Years ago, I introduced my child to chess. He looked at the pieces (we have an expensive, fancy, themed pewter set) and his imagination ran wild with ideas of how he could play with these pieces.I showed him that he could not just move any piece anywhere, and that there are rules. He was disappointed, but warmed up to the rules in time. We played, and I beat him handily, because while we both understood that pieces move and what the object of the game is, I was the only experienced player who knew how to move the pieces to achieve my objectives. In like manner, Pelosi is an experienced stateswoman who knows the players, pieces, and game while Trump is just barely learning how pawns work. He brought in a cadre of advisors—the best people, according to him—and now most of them are behind bars or waiting their turn to go behind bars. Meanwhile, Pelosi has been in office for 30 years and counting, and while that’s bound to rack up political enemies, she is the second most powerful person in the country because she surrounds herself with competent, good people.Smarts have nothing to do with it. It’s all about experience.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that she does not believe Rep. Ilhan Omar's recent controversial comments were "intended in any anti-Semitic way" . What's your view on this?

I think it's common to conflate criticism of Israel with anti-Semitism as a way to shut down discussion. Especially when it pertains to Muslims. Her comments were in relation to Congress’s support of Israel and the possible influence of lobbying.Sure, there is a stupid conspiracy theory that posits that Jews control most of the money in the world and are thereby able to wield power other people cannot. It's not a particularly common or even believable conspiracy theory but it exists, as does the belief in the chupacabra and that vaccines cause autism.Since lobbying plays a large role in our government and often influences where politicians throw their support, I am more inclined to believe that while criticizing Congress, The representative was referring specifically to lobbying and it's influence in policy decisions around Israel, more so than she was referring to an obscure conspiracy theory about Jews ruling the world. It's disingenuous to claim that any discussion of Israel and lobbying is the same thing as promoting conspiracies about Jews and power. Lobbying does have a large hold over our government. And there are groups that lobby for Israel. Pointing that out is not the same thing as promoting stereotypes or conspiracies about Jews or else we are being asked to dunk our heads in the sand and pretend that lobbying for Israel doesn’t exist and doesn't deserve to be called out, just like we call out the NRA or the factory farm industry for the way they attempt to buy politicians and influence elections. She probably could have been clearer in what she meant when referring to “the Benjamin's” but it seems like such a desperate and far reaching attempt to present what she said in the worst possible light I can see why she didn't predict that people would try to say she was promoting a dumb conspiracy theory rather than referring to the most relevant and most likely target, lobbying groups.Minnesota Congresswoman Ignites Debate On Israel And Anti-Semitism

Does anyone really believe Nancy Pelosi will negotiate with President Trump on border security?

No. Not a chance in hell. And she'll end up costing taxpayers even more money when the government shuts down again. All over $5 billion, which is the equivalent of $57 in a normal household income.

Is Nancy Pelosi Simply Stupid?

I am neither joking nor exaggerating when I say that Liberalism is truly a mental disorder.

I've been privately studying this phenomenon as a type of hobby, accumulating the absolutely irrational responses I have seen everywhere in the news, as well as here on YA!

I am not alone in this belief. "Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded," says Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of the new book, "The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness."

"Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave." Rossiter boasts excellent professional credentials and a life virtually free of activism and links to "the vast right-wing conspiracy." For more than 35 years he has diagnosed and treated more than 1,500 patients as a board-certified clinical psychiatrist and examined more than 2,700 civil and criminal cases as a board-certified forensic psychiatrist. He received his medical and psychiatric training at the University of Chicago.

So when you have someone like Nancy Pelosi who refuses to even acknowledge basic math (tax revenues increased due to higher economic activity, created by the tax cuts), it is a sign that there is something very intrinsically and basically wrong with her mental processes. It's like some religious zealot in the 1400s refusing to acknowledge that the Earth revolves around the sun.

And Liberalism really is like a religion, and an extreme one at that. Undeniably, extreme religion makes one extremely stupid, forcing you to adhere to beliefs that are patently and demonstrably false.

So is Nancy Pelosi stupid? Yes, on some level she is. It's undeniable that some Liberals like Noam Chomsky have brilliant minds, but it is like a malfunctioning computer. Something intrinsic in the basic operating system is corrupted, and it blinds them to the obvious, just like religious zealots.

Is Nancy Pelosi a dumbass?

America is wondering if Nancy Pelosi is a dumbass, or is she just faking it to look stupid as often as possible? She can't possibly believe a word that comes out of her own mouth.

Why is Donald Trump supporting Nancy Pelosi so much after mid terms?

Likely because Pelosi seems to be very unpopular amongst most Americans, which is like blood in the water to Trump and he will use it to great effect when his rallies inevitably start up again as he hits the campaign trail.Poll: Three-quarters of Americans say Nancy Pelosi should be replaced, including half of DemocratsTrump loves to have people to blame and berate when he gets on stage and, assuming Pelosi is the next Speaker of the House, Trump will put her in front of his base as the reason he is getting nothing done and/or why his entire world is under subpeona-backed investigation and/or he has been impeached by the House and/or is the first sitting president in history to be indicted.I don’t recall him coming up with an offensive nickname for her yet (i.e., “Crooked Hillary” and “Pocahontas”) but he will and he will use it at every opportunity.A new Speaker (Eric Swallwell, as an example) would potentially be a tougher target with less baggage, particularly if it’s not a woman. He likes attacking women and his base seem to approve, plus she is old and white which means his base won’t have to defend against further allegations of racism. For what it’s worth, Pelosi is a majorly accomplished politician with a truly impressive resume who knows how to work with people and get things done. And she’s a woman. That, for Trump, must be truly vexing.Nancy Pelosi’s List Of Accomplishments As Speaker Proves She’s The Champion We Still NeedHope that helps!
