What do you think about racism?
I could ever marry some one of another race. I believe that we should stay within our respective races. If I were to marry a cow, horse or monkey I believe the whole world would think me daft. I say we are all of one race, the human race. Prejudice toward other human beings is stupidity and ignorance. If one needs a blood transfusion to save his life, would he say, 'Don't give me any blood that comes from someone of a different color'. They would have no idea where that blood came from, but they'd be glad that someone gave it to save a life. We are all the same inside. We have the same organs, the same minds, the same soul. We are mankind, the human race!
Family Guy--Do you think it is Racist?
I am a black female and I used to love--I MEAN LOVE family guy,I used to watch it all the time it was my sh** but after the years all those so called poking funny at stereotypes got to ME,honestly I know they are trying to be funny,but it just hurts sometimes ..it just hurts your feelings...so I just lost the love of watching it ..I guess all those jokes just got to me my syche or inner core or somethin, I dont know...also I have five sisters ...and me and 4 total ..has just kinda loss interest in the show...its like I will watch and then those jokes come on family guy and I just turn it off or to another station...thanks I thought I was the only one that felt this way when watching the show thanks Mel !
Do you think im racist? and are you racist?
i am, i cant help it, its not like i "hate" them for no reason but there are some nationalities that drive me up the wall with their laziness ignorance arrogance and plain old annoying behavoir. for example, most of the taxi drivers in my town are indians, they stink, they dont even speak english properly and this one idiot couldnt find my house with a map, a gprs system and me telling him because he couldnt understand any of it! now sorry but if ur gonna come live in my country u learn my language and learn it well, if your gonna be a taxi driver learn the streets! i dont know if you can call me racist because of this i guess if it was an aussie that was that useless id be frustrated with them too, but the thing is it isnt aussies that do it! and aboriginals, sit under a tree and get drunk then ask me for $2 every time i walk past..how can u not hate that! go and get a bloody job! i know not all do it, i have friends who are these nationalities, but the ones who do do it drive me nuts! do u think im racist or do u just think i cant stand stupid lazy annoying ignorant arrogant people?
If you vote for a racist, why would someone think you're a racist?
So a lot of white conservative people in Mississippi voted for Cindy Hyde-Smith who has joked about lynching in a state with one of, if not the worst histories for lynching. She also joked about voter suppression, not only attended when she was a child but actually sent her child to a known segregated school after desegregation that was funded by a far right wing group (the Citizen Council called the "Uptown Klan", the forerunner of todays Council of Conservative Citizens), knowingly accepted donation money from known neo-Nazis like Peter Sieve, publicly praised the Confederacy, etc. But the people who voted for her knowing all this are upset because others are looking at them as racist for some reason... Why would voting for someone who is a far right wing racist make the voters racist? I can't quite put my finger on it.... Is it possible that the voters are not racist and just voted for Cindy Hyde-Smith because they like her voice? Hmmm.
