TO EUTHANIZE A CAT OR LET STARVE?
Do not let it starve. That is Animal Cruelty, for which you can be arrested for. It is not a pretty way to go, either - I've done my share of rescue, and seen a lot of ugly stuff out there, including animals who are deliberately starved. If you can, now that you have the money, spay her. Spaying her, doesn't mean you have to keep her - instead of your shelter, find out if there are any no kill shelters/rescues around and if they can take her. Also - Female cats who are fixed many times will stop marking to attract males. Peanut, our smallest of 11 cats, would do crazy things like urinate in the dog bowls, or on a counter top, or in my son's shoes to try to attract a mate. Everyone in the house, male, female, were already fixed. And yowl. And yowl some more. Once we had her fixed, the marking behavior has stopped, and of course, the crying. With regard to your male cat, maybe he won't be so annoying to her now. You kept her in the bathroom for a time - can you graduate her back out to the bathroom after you spay her? Before you do, get an enzyme based deodorizer that is for removing urine odor. Cat urine is pretty strong and it's about the only thing that will eventually destroy it. When I worked in our local animal control shelter, we sprayed all cages and runs with a product called Knock Out (from Gator Chemical, Ocala, Florida) - if the over the counter things from your local pet shop don't help, then try a chemical company that sells janitorial supplies - I pay about 8.00/gallon for what I buy, and it does work (tho my cats don't pee everywhere anyway - I just use it because of the fact some did at one time or another) This takes time - don't expect the enzymes to work over night. If none of this works for you - then the kindest thing, even though some people will hate me for saying this, is to have her peacefully put to sleep. At least that way, she's not on the street, not getting abused, not laying in a road dead or dying because she has been hit by a car. Euthanasia is not a bad choice - sometimes, it is a necessary choice, and a very humane one. If your dog was badly hurt and had no chance at survival, only dying in pain, you would put it out of its misery as a kindness. Yet we insist humans have to suffer the most horrible deaths in excruciating pain. Seems cruel and ugly to me. The government seems to think they own us, life and limb. Nothing could be further from the truth. Our lives are our most personal possession and we are entitled to do with them as we please so long as we do not harm another. In other words, I believe in both the right to euthanasia and the right to suicide. The government does not have the right to make those decisions or to take them from you.

How do you feel about Euthanasia for humans?
I believe no matter what the age of the person if all test have been done. The doctors know this is a life that will only deteriorate and bring immense physical pain and there no way to ever get better and if that is sure.. that there is no way this person stands a chance of getting better but is guaranteed to get worse and suffer immense pain then I am 100 % for Euthanasia. but it should be a decision made by the patient not by his wife or husband or relatives. A person has to be of sound mind.. and he or she should be allowed if there is zero hope to get better ever for certain and faces tremenduous pain and suffering that could drag out for months or 1 year or more than that person should have the right to decide for him or herself if they want Euthanasia but I don't agree that other people decide over a humans life. other that person who suffers.. that person should be the only one allowe to make this decision.. no relative and no partner or anyone else but yes if there is no hope and just pain ahead for this person then no matter what this persons age is.. it should be left up to him or her to opt for or against Euthanasia as a way out of sheer misery..If comatose I don't believe others have the right which is why I said .. if something happens to me.. if I should be brain dead due to an accident then .. please allow someone else to pull off the switch and let me go with a bit of dignity but some people are in a coma for a long time and they come out of it unexpectedly but i can understand a mother or father if they know for sure their child is brain dead and no chance exists they can come out of the coma which some do even after years but if the child is brain dead I would nor judge the parents for choosing in the special case.. for Eutanasia for their child.. because otherwise they see the kid dying every day and no hope and it's just a dragged out long way to die to let them stay i a coma if there really zero chances that child will wake up again one day I would want to be very sure it's hopeless before as a parent I would make a decision for a comatose child but if there is no hope then yes I understand it. to let him or her go .xxxx
