My yusband is in the navy and being captains mast?
He doesn't have a Rank, he has a Rate. So he is being reduced to E4 and that means a reduction in pays and allowances. The BAH rate will drop to that of an E4, so will his Sea Pay. His Base Pay is what will be cut in half not anything else. That means BOTH pay checks will be affected. He did a MAJOR screw up to be placed on 45 day restriction, pay cut 1/2 for 2 months AND reduction of Rate. He is lucky he is allowed to stay in. What you need to be doing is speaking to the Ombudsman about this so you can make sure you have all the correct information.

Let me guess.You fell in love with someone who says they are in the military and stationed over seas.You text them all the time. Trade photos. No.I hope you realize this:US soldiers do not pay for food or WiFi when deployed.They do not pay for a replacement when going on leave.They do not pay a fee for their paperwork to be made.They do not pay for a plane ticket home.They do not pay a fee to be allowed to retire early, or be shipped home.Their bank accounts are not frozen while overseas.If they lose or damage equipment, and have to pay for it, they will not need to pay cash. They get a salary every other week, from which the cost can be deducted.They have not found a fortune in gold bars which they need help shipping home.They cannot retire while deployed. They know their day of retirement in advance. If it falls close to the time deployed, they will mostly likely not be shipped out in the first place.If someone's asking you for money to cover his expenses in country, someone is trying to scam you.
