Does A Green Card Holder Need Visa For Peru And Chile

What does a US green card holder need to travel to Mexico?

The US green card is accepted as a visa to enter Mexico, regardless of your country of origin (legal permanent residents of Canada, the UK, Japan, any Schengen country, Chile, Colombia and Peru, do not need a visa either). You do need to have a passport from your country. (Países y regiones que requieren visa para viajar a México)Have in mind that, as in every other country, a visa is not a guarantee to enter that said country; you still need to apply for entry. In the case of Mexico, just line up at the Instituto Nacional de Migración booths at the airport you’ll be arriving to, where you’ll present your documents and usually will be given a 180 day permit. However, this is only for tourism; if you are coming for work or any remunerated activities, you do need a work visa for which you can apply at the Embassy of Mexico in Washington DC, or at any of the 50 Consulates of Mexico in the US.Hope this helps!
