Background check means i get the job?
ok so i went into duane reade and talked to the pharmacist. She said that they aren't really looking for part-timers but mainly looking for full-timers. However, she said I could try to apply and she asked me to do a resume and give it to her. That I did. I gave it to her within the next couple of days. She said that now I just w8 for the process to go through and if she needs me she will call for me. I thought I did the app but i checked back three weeks later... I didn't finish it for some odd reason. WHen i realized this, I did the app and a week letter i get a copy of the background check from duane reade. So far it's been two weeks and i haven't gotten a response since the background check. I'm just wondering what the likelihood of me getting the job is. thanks XD
Nike background check means I got job?
Hi, I recently received an e-mail from Nike for a background check which was an online process via the company HireRight. This is for a sales associate position, an entry-level job. It was my first job interview, and I scoredd!! :) I was wondering if this means that I am going to get the job, or if I am just one of the finalists. If anyone who worked for Nike could answer, I would greatly appreciate it, or anyone else who has received a background check within the past year. I heard that it was normal now for a company to conduct a background check on all interviewed applicants? This background check was sent about 5-7 days after my interview process which was done in a group with 2 interviewers and 7 others interested in the job opening.

I applied at Barnes & Nobel and within the past week I have had a quick phone interview and just 5 days ago had an in person (written) interview. They said they just need to go over what I wrote and check references. Now two days ago I received an email asking me to give consent for a background check (which I did online). Now I don't know what exactly is a background check (I am no criminal, never done something bad) so once they "check" does that mean I got the job? I would think that they would only ask for this to those they are interested in hiring or is this a common procedure for all those interviewed or at least with Barnes & Nobel. Thanks*
Does a background check mean I got the job?
Every time that I have ever been sent for drug test and interview, I got the job. Sometimes it can take a little while to get everything in order. They have to mail the urine off to a lab and wait to get the results back. You could call and check on it, or maybe give it a few more days. I am pretty sure that unless you have something on your background or fail the drug test, then you probably got the job.
If Lowe's runs a background check on you, does that mean you got the job?
I have had two interviews so far with them, one with the HR manager and another with the store manager, they called and said they were going to move forward with me and run a backgraound check, how long do they usually take and does that mean I got the job?
Does a nike background check mean you're hired?
They wouldn't go to the expense and trouble of doing a background check unless they were going to hire you. Since a third party conducted the background check I'm not sure they could legally do it unless they were going to extend you an offer. In fact I'm surprised they didn't extend you an offer contingent upon passing the check.

HireRight Background Check for Nike?
I applied for a position at Nike as a sales associate. I then received an email from a company that does background checks for Nike called HireRight. Does this mean that I got the job? Or does Nike just do this for all their applicants. Also, my record is completely clean. How long will this background check take?
