What makes a good Minecraft server?
King Julius.Never heard of it? It’s a private server, and only my family and our close friends are whitelisted.What makes it a great server is all the memories. My first underwater house, my first city on a mountain. Our first multiplayer survival zone… I was a miner, my sister was a farmer and an above-ground architect, and a few friends from school helped develop the surrounding landscape and expand underground.Occasionally it crashes, sometimes it gets a corrupt chunk that we need to fix with NBT Explorer. But we have had zero acts of griefing, and we’ve never banned anyone.But maybe you’re asking about the big servers. 8-dimension 12000-player slightly-out-of-date Bukkit servers with their own websites, animated rainbow Motd’s, digital currency that fluctuates in exchange rate more drastically than Bitcoin.I know that the only such server I was a member of is now long gone. It ran out of funds, and hundreds of people lost their skyblocks, achievements, and wealth. Including me.For PVP, I recommend Minecade, I’ve watched my sister play it and it has a lot of cool maps for battles. But ultimately, I recommend creating your own server, one that you can rely on and be in control of. That’s what I want most out of a server…
Does anyone know of a good minecraft beta 1.6.6 server that allows mods?
I want to build with other people, but i dont want to have to mine all of my materials. It really restricts how creative you can be. Also i would play on the classic mode, but it doesn't work on my computer it just shows a black screen.
