How long does Amazon take to refund money to your bank card if you cancelled your order?
With reference to Amazon.in there are 3 scenarios when it comes to cancellation of the order and refund.Before the order is shipped or entered the advance shipping stage:If you have cancelled your order immediately after you were charged, then the refund would be processed in 24–48 working hours and would be credited to your account in 2–4 or 3–5 business days depending on how long your Bank takes to credit the amount. But you’ll have to wait for 4 business days for the refund to be credited and then check your statement to confirm about the credit.If no credit call your Bank’s customer serivce with the reference number shared with you via email by Amazon. If no reference number is given then contact Amazon.2. If the card is charged but Amazon did not receive the payment and the order is cancelled:The amount will be auto-credited to your account within 7–25 business days. Amazon would not be able to help in such scenarios because they do not have a confirmation from the bank on the transaction made.3. If the order was cancelled after the order was shipped:The order is first expected to return to fulfillment center before the refund is processed. No exceptions whatsoever.It usually takes 5–10 business days for the return to reach the fulfillment center. Once it is scanned as returned then the refund is processed. But to reflect that refund on your Credit /Debit Card Statement you may have to wait for a max of 30 Days.If Amazon says the refund has been initiated .In that case be rest assured that it is almost next to impossible that you will not get your money back. This morning my Amazon seller account was suspended without any warning. I already tried to talk to somebody at Amazon, however, they don't want to tell me why my account was banned.
How long does it take for Amazon to refund my order amount after taking it back?
I placed an order with Amazon worth 6999/- on 5/11/2016 and payment done via ICICI debit card.For some reason, they are unable to deliver the product and it was returned to the seller on 18/11/2016.They initiated the refund on 21/11/2016 and said it will be credited in 3–5 business days. It is 29/11/2016 and I don’t see any refund in my bank account.After a Google Search, I found numerous complaints regarding refund getting delayed. Sometimes, it takes around a month to get refund.I contacted ICICI bank and they say “We didn’t get any information from Amazon”. I contacted Amazon and asked for transaction id of the refund. They said that I will get an e-mail with Transaction id of the refund. But I didn’t get it till now.An international e-commerce firm can’t even refund the money in 5 days to the bank account. Why does Amazon not require a security (CVV) code for credit card transactions?
In my experience, they do. Amazon requests the CVV when you first supply credit card information to authorize your card before storing it. CVV cannot contractually be stored, however, so Amazon does not use this value for subsequent transactions.
