Does Any One Go Or Knoe About Henley College

How did folks like Don Henley and Glenn Frey of the Eagles manage to stay out of Vietnam?

Question: How did folks like Don Henley and Glenn Frey of the Eagles manage to stay out of Vietnam? Both men attended college when they got out of high school, so it’s likely that they started off with college deferments. Henley went to school in Texas, while Frey attended college near his hometown of Detroit. Henley dropped out after his father contracted heart disease and never went back.By the time that their deferments ran out, the US involvement in Vietnam was winding down and it’s probable that their draft status had changed so much that they were unlikely to be eligible for service,

Is the sentence "you goes to college daily" correct?

No. It isn't. “YOU GO to college daily” ( He/She/It GOES)

Can you help me with time management in college?

Time management is a common issue to individuals who are completely unorganized. They were looking for solution to ease their problem regarding with managing their time better. The easiest way to do that is to have a simple system that you can follow and stick to.

Plan your activities ahead of time. You may do it daily, weekly or monthly as long you work on that plan. Create a list of everything that you need to get done and put it on a calendar. Set your goal and tasks clearly by order of priority.

Limit the distractions and interruptions in your day by turning off email notifications, TV, FB, YouTube and avoid spending your time to your less valuable activities. Work on your most valuable activities.

Use a calendar and put everything into that calendar and stick to whatever schedule that is in it. Lastly, do not procrastinate.

College schooling help?

I've been searching around online for colleges. My boyfriend and I want to travel right out of high school which I graduate a year from now but I should start applying to schools now. I'm thinking of some online an some not online schools. My boyfriend wants to move to Maine but idk if I do.
Anyway. Walden University (online) is this an actual German school? Is it in English? Does it offer pharmacy classes.
Athens State University of Alabama (offline) does this offer anything for Pharmacy? Does this school offer online classes?
Also, any other websites to lists of good colleges on and offline for these states/ countries would be great:
Maryland,
Maine,
Australia,
Alabama,
Germany,
Pennsylvania,

How does a college student work on his grammar and writing skills on assignments? The instructor wouldn’t have accepted his answer as written when she was a high school teacher, and she doubts any college instructor would do so either.

One finds an instructor who corrects the paper word by word marking each error and supplying the corrections and suggesting ways to improve! "Not accepting" a paper is not doing the job as a teacher. Honestly, does just anyone get to call himself a teacher any more? Teachers teach; they do not judge and reject. PM me one of your papers, and I will correct it and send it back.No comments about lack of time; teachers of English knew about correcting papers; if you don't want to correct papers, stop teaching English! Not only did I correct my own students' papers, I graded all of the competency and proficiency tests (each given three times a year) for a junior high school of over 1,000 students in reading, writing, and mathematics. I also constructed the tests. We have enough troubles in education without having teachers who don't teach. Go do something else!

Is an MBA from Henley business school highly regarded and if so in which industry or companies?

I have done my MBA from Henley business School (2014–2015). For starters there was not a single employers networking event, no internships, of job opportunity through careers. The careers support consists of MBTI and BELBIN personality test, to better understand yourself and your preferences. There are few seminars on leadership and personal development ( snooze fest), delivered by no one of repute. In our batch consisting of 24 students, 8 are still jobless (May 2016). most of the rest have moved back to their old jobs.To answer your question :1.No industry or company came to Henley for recruitment or networking event in our time.2. While applying online, you will notice that most companies don’t even have Henley business school in their drop down list. The problem is, it has a huge careers team, all without relevant experience. The head of careers is busy pursuing PhD, careers consultant is a relationship coach, who will somehow will throw any and all of your queries back at you. I don’t even have the slightest idea what the rest of them does. But usually they will tell you,” it’s not my job”. Same goes for the alumni team. This two teams are responsible for fostering relationships with the industry and they are the weak-link at Henley. We didn’t receive any help in regards to resume, cover letter, applications, networking etc.to quote the careers head,”( with a crooked smile) my cousin paid £68,000 and went to LBS. If you want jobs, you should have gone to a better school” (true story).

A friend of mine (engineer) said that going to college for anything other than a hard science is "an act of masochism and insanity". Do you think he is right?

No … I don’t.His stance is that of an idiot. Absolutely, we need people to train up in STEM subjects - they’re particularly important in a society in which charlatans are being allowed to injure and kill people in the name ‘healing’ and ‘health freedom’. But your friend forgets that those subjects are indeed not for everyone … and neither is everyone for them in terms of aptitude. STEM matters need to be dealt with by those who love those disciplines. These things help us to stay alive long enough to be able to adapt the world to our needs as a specis and, it is to be hoped, the needs of other species too. But your friend forgets something. We need to understand much about ourselves as a specis, especially in the contexts of environment and milieu … places, people and other living things. Some of that comes from the so-called hard science, but - of necessity - a lot will come from the so-called soft science (which, perversely, are harder to be scientifically rigorous in … but not impossible!). The humanities and social sciences deal with those. In addition to this … we need something to live for that well meet any hedonistic needs we might have. The arts give us the advanced knowledge that we need for those subjects.I thought medical students were arrogant but your friend … shitting Christ on a hydraulic turd mountain! He’s way off-base.

Why does my dog follow me around the house all the time?

Dogs are not pack animals. (Update link.) And dogs certainly don't think people are other dogs. That would be a pretty nonfunctional evolution! Just consider: when the dog wants to go outside, it looks at you to open the door. It knows you can do things dogs can't do. Because you. are. not. a. dog. And it knows this.Your dog follows you because it's highly social - has a powerful emotional need for companionship - and knows that you are super-cool. You are the source of all good things in its life: food, walks, rides, treats, toys. Who knows what amazing thing will happen wherever you're going? Plus, unless you are very standoffish toward your pet, he knows that you frequently want him around anyway: often you outright call him to come see you! So he's over-fulfilling your requests: anticipating (in an admittedly self-centered way) your needs.
