Why do people hate feminists/feminism? Especially women?!?
Sarah, First, congratulations on being a young woman and already interested in gender issues. You are by no means alone, there are many girls your age already thinking about the same issues. And to the Neanderthals out there, you can be a feminist and love Justin Bieber -even if that's not Sarah's case. I'm way too old to enjoy JB but I used to love David Cassidy -and proud of it. Second, don't believe everything you read in this forum. Many of the "male superiority" supporters are even younger than you -fighting acne and getting red-faced and stuttering every time a girl even looks at them. Others may be adults -though dumb ones- but reserve their tirades for the internet. In real life they won't be like this -not necessarily because they don't want it, but because they live in the real world where women may be their bosses (and I bet that's the case with some of the most rabid haters here) Finally, there are wide gaps between advanced societies in the development of feminism, and even in the very definition of what feminism is. And there are many sub societies within a larger unit (for example, "the world", "the Western world", "the USA", "the North and the South", "large cities vs. small towns", etc. I'm often dismayed myself at seeing real women -not the avatars in this forum, they don't mean anything- seemingly dedicated to destroy their own self respect. But it's a gradual process. They just don't know what their own condition would be if they were to go 100 years back in time (in whichever society they live). You are young but you will learn to accept that fact, while at the same time fight for the betterment of women as a whole -even those who don't know why it's good for them. A very important thing you may not know, being a young American -equality is not everything in feminism, and not wanting equality is NOT the same as wanting superiority, as the dumb trolls around here yell all the time. There is a whole branch of feminism -to which I adhere- dedicated to understand and highlight the differences between genders. Unfortunately this school of thought is way more advanced in Europe than it is here, which may lead to lots of discussion over how advanced US society really is. Anyway difference feminism is worth looking up, whatever your final choice is. Best wishes!
Why does everyone hate Jacob Sartorius?
Ok so Jacob Sartorius. I am very confused why he is so popular. Someone answer this question! But it’s my time to answer this obvious-answer question facing me right now. Here’s why many people (not everyone) hate Jacob.He tried to become famous by doing almost nothing at all. Hit or miss. (haha get it) And he SUCCEEDED. The things he did to get famous a five year old could have done. I’m not even kidding. He sings as good as my 5 yr old sister.Musically. One of the worst apps out there. Basically, you open and close your mouth like a fish to either mainstream songs or famous movie lines. I actually downloaded it and tried it for one day (did the same with Snapchat) and they are honestly some of the worst social media apps out there; they serve almost no purpose. Just my opinion. I could be missing something; I’m not super tech savvy.Jacob got famous by lip syncing. (Un)luckily, he did not just end there. He decided to make some songs. You have to listen to the song very carefully. Everything is in tune, thanks to Autotune of course, but it makes him sound like a teen robot trying to serenade a runaway sweatshirt.Other than that, I really don’t know much else about him. If you find anything in the whole entire universe that properly justifies his fame, please let me know. Or not. I stayed anon to hideaway from hate. Luckily I’m not great at burning people, but I know deep down inside my treacherous heart I could mentally rip Jacob Sartorius to shreds with more shade. But I choose not to. I’m a good(ish) person.
Gift for best friend (female) whom I am meeting after long?
So I had shifted to another city for three years, as my building in which my flat was, was getting reconstructed. There, I met some really good friends for life. Though I have shifted back this May, (of course to another school in my original city) I miss them a lot. I had a really great best friend there. It's half an hour by train to reach that city. I have planned to meet one of my close friends and my best friend there. I want to give a gift to my best friend. The details: 1. Teenager, waist length hair, color dark yet extremely beautiful with rare perfect features. 2. A kind of nerd, stands 1st in class (I don't lag behind either okay :P) but knows how to have fun. 3. Shares everything. Her likes and interests include almost everything, and please don't tell photograph memories because of a certain problem. And it should not be expensive as my family has been having a few financial problems. List of things I've already given her: A coffee mug, a huge friendship teddy, a greeting, a necklace, etc. It has to be short and simple, because she doesn't really mind and won't accept if I bring much of a huge thing for her. She means a LOT to me and I mean a LOOT to her.
