Does Anybody Know Any Instrumental Songs That Start Off Happy And Innocent Then Turn Dark

Which musical instrument produces the saddest sound?

There’s a few answers talking about the Erhu, which I’m glad to see, as well as a few about the Viola.I know I’m probably very biased, but I believe the timbre of the Zhonghu (中胡) is one of the most sombre and emotional sounding instruments ever played. The Zhonghu is the Viola Counterpart of the Erhu in the modern Chinese Orchestra, tuned to G-D.From my experience, most Huqin players in an Orchestra choose to play the Erhu or the Gaohu, as they tend to get the more exciting melodies, solos and essentially lots of limelight, and for the most part, they can produce some of the most amazing performances that you’ll ever hear. The Zhonghu, on the other hand, is usually given accompaniment and secondary melodies. However, in the instances that it rises above being just accompaniment, I believe the Zhonghu is more than qualified to be called one of the most soulful instruments to exist today. If you have a minute to spare, do listen to this rendition of The Theme from Schindler’s List:

What are some happy lyrical dance solo songs ?

Preferably about overcoming something or proving someone wrong . I don't want anything sad though , all of the girls I know want to dance to a sad lyrical song and I honestly thing those songs are boring :)

What are some awesome metal songs that have very soft intros before the main portions of the songs?

Pisces by JinjerMan, I remember the first time I heard this song. I was watching the Live Session they recorded on YouTube and I remember asking myself if I was even listening to metal. The vocals were soft and clean and the whole mood of the piece was very soothing. I definitely liked the intro but it wasn’t really metal. I was expecting aggressive drumming and distorted guitars but instead I got an ambient masterpiece which was pleasant, but not what I had hoped for. Then the chorus kicked in. There was an immediate shift in the mood of the song. In an instant the song went from ambient coffe shop to djenty rage. The shift was honestly quite shocking. Here was this woman who just seconds before was singing a nice, calm tune belting out some of the best metal screams I’d ever heard. The chorus was heavy, fast, and aggressive before going right back into the gentle ambiance. But what was really beautiful about this wasn’t just the music itself, it wasn’t how it played into the meaning of the song. The song is basically about Tatiana’s the duality and how she portrays this image of being tough and confident when she is really just weak and unreliable. The chorus is what people perceive and the verse is how she really sees herself. The interplay between the music and the lyrics is really creative and it goes to show that there is more to metal than being “heavy” or “brutal”.Overall it’s a really great song and I would recommend it to every metal head out there, especially people who have yet to listen to any really heavy metal.

Song for contemporary dance that has a very dark side but also a happy side?

Im choreographing a contemporary/lyrical dance for a group of girls college aged, there are about twenty of them. I want to split them up into two groups of ten and one group will be dancing in a very dark contemporary style, probably wearing black. The other group will be dancing in a lighter lyrical style to contrast the other group, probably wearing white. So i'm looking for a song that would fit this type of dance, maybe something that has dark heavy music at times and light lifting music at other times, I don't want it to be a really slow song though, and I would rather it be a more modern song as well. Kind of like a comparison between life and death as an example, but it doesn't have to be that specific or obvious, just any two things that contrast each other in that way. Thanks!

Could somebody explain "post-rock" to me?

Post-rock is a radically experimental branch of music. Although some Post-rock albums sound more 'rock-like' than others, Post-rock does not confine itself to traditional rock idioms. It is as if you were able to create music new again, to throw out all the formulas. That's what Post-rock bands try to do.

Post-rock albums are often an anarchic blend of minimalist classical music, krautrock, psychedelic rock, progressive rock, metal, noise rock, free jazz, shoegaze, dream pop, glitch, drone, industrial, musique concrète, ambient, electronica, and many other genres.

Here are my 10 favorite Post-rock albums:

1. 'Young Team (1997)' by Mogwai
2. 'Mi Media Naranja (1997)' by Labradford
3. 'F#A#oo (1997)' by Godspeed You! Black Emperor
4. 'Ocean Songs (1998)' by Dirty Three
5. 'Ágætis byrjun (1999)' by Sigur Rós
6. 'How Strange, Innocence (2000)' by Explosions In The Sky
7. 'Happiness (2001)' by Fridge
8. 'Liberation (2004)' by Trans Am
9. 'Enter (2006)' by Russian Circles
10. 'Mirrored (2007)' by Battles

Which is the most sensual song you have ever heard?

Call it a cliche if you like, but the deepest, wettest, most seductive fuck-groove I’ve ever heard has always been, and is likely to remain, this one. It takes a special kind of soul singer to just climb right out of the speakers into bed with you. I’ll also give some runners-up/rivals/alternatives. But let me just say that the soul singers own this whole arena. The winner:Marvin Gaye, “Let’s Get It On”Runners-up might include, say, “Do Me, Baby” and “Shhhh” by Prince; Muddy Waters or Van Morrison singing “I Just Want to Make Love to You”; any number of Billie Holiday songs — no one marries eroticism and anguish like Lady Day; or how about Al Green’s, oh lord, uh, “Simply Beautiful,” “Love and Happiness,” “I’m Still in Love With You,” “Let’s Stay Together,” “Call Me,” “Here I Am (Come and Take Me)”… here I am making lists again.I find that the sexiest songs — Prince is a partial exception — aren’t so much pornographic as suggestive. Marvin here keeps talking about how “we’re all sensitive people with so much to give,” and about being “sanctified,” and about “loving” each other. He doesn’t need to get all “fuck fuck fuck.” He just needs to belt obiter dicta like “you know what I’m talkin’ about” and “get it on! come awn, ba-by…” Gives me the shivers, still, after three decades of familiarity, and despite it being overplayed. And OP, speaking of Al Green, as I was a moment ago, if you like “Light My Fire,” here’s a version of it you might enjoy:

Can I still be a good Christian and listen to Marilyn Manson?

You have to ask yourself "Would God want me to listen to it?" The answer is of course ....no. If it's Satanic He would would never want you to listen to it. If it's something you really like though you have to also ask yourself "Is it worth it to give it up for God?" I mean if you believe in God and know what the Bible says then you know that we must make Jesus our Lord and Savior in order to go to Heaven. and when we make Jesus Lord it means that HE is the one we surrender to and give our life to. No amount of Good deeds like prayer and church will get a person to Heaven. Only Believing in Jesus Christ and committing your life to Him will get you to Heaven. You can't do this though without God first changing your heart. If this is what you want then you need to ask God to help you change once you give your life to Him and He will answer that prayer. God Bless!
