Where do singers buy their instrumental music?

Most singers and rappers get a producer to do this for them. A lot of producers have access to music other people don’t, either because of who they know, or from having already paid. Or they just produce their own instrumentals from scratch, either by recording real instruments or using software instruments (which can sound extremely professional these days). You can also buy old records and sample them. If the music is old enough (published at least 95 years ago, or the author has been deceased for 50–70 years), you’re legally in the right to use it however you want. There are also plenty of sites online with cool instrumentals you can buy for commercial use (which is what I think you are looking for), like Buy Rap Beats and Instrumentals, Rap Beats For Sale Online | Pro Rap Beats, and RawHeatz Beats. Each of which I just found by simply googling “professional instrumentals.”Another option is sampling a great sounding recording, though legally you have to get permission and pay royalties. Nobody will do much about it, though, unless they feel a reason to (like you’re making too much money, or gaining to much recognition from your track without properly crediting/compensating them). I’ve personally had my music stolen quite a lot, but I don’t believe anybody has made a lot of money off of anything that I didn’t authorize. I usually find it flattering.

How do you find the name of an instrumental jazz song?

Man, this can be really hard - I agree with Mark McRae’s answer … but this is really something that has only been an option for 5–10 years depending on where you are and what technology was accessible/affordable to you. Also, depending on the music playing - sub-genre, artist, version, etc. - there is a chance that those services won’t recognize things. Their AI is really built around pop music, short, repetitive, vocal-driven, familiar, etc. Good luck feeding it Derek Bailey or (more recent) Wendy Eisenberg or similar artists who eschew rhythmic or harmonic norms. :)But as bad as it can be - it used to be MUCH worse. Do you know how many years I went not knowing the artist or song name for Oliver Nelson’s Stolen Moments? Ugh. It was a couple of decades from when I heard it on ‘Eric in the Evening’ on WGBH in Boston until I heard it AND found out what it was! Whew!My advice … is to seek identity in the moment using whatever technology is available. If that isn’t possible, seek out playlists on any popular streaming service that seem likely to give a hit - my favorite for jazz is actually AccuRadio, which has some pretty ‘deep cuts’ for jazz. Then hope you get lucky!

What are some sad/epic instrumental piano songs?

Hello

Does anybody know any epic sad piano instrumental songs? It's okay if they have a violin or something else in the background.

Preferably like "Hometown Glory" by Adele. Something similar to that.

Thank You

What do labels call "music producers" who compose instrumental tracks?

The lines are easily blurred these days with so much of the process overlapping. You have writers that compose, produce and mix. And engineers that do so much work they're practically producing.  This basic definition is:Composer - composes melodies.  He is a writer of the melody for the song and owns a share of the song publishing.  He's credited as a composer, which for this purpose is synonymous with writer.Producer - He deals with the actual recording, and taking the project from song to record.  He overseas the process and is paid point on the recording.  Some established producers may have deals where they wave their royalties in favor a large up front payment. Typically royalties for the producer lie around 3%, up to around 5% depending on the producer/deal.If you are a "beat-maker" or you create music, you would be a composer.  You may also chose to produce the song, in which case you'd receive points on the recording in addition to your writing split.  A 'beatmaker' is not a producer.  (Click To Tweet This Quote)Composer & producer are two distinct jobs.  Whether you do both of them or just one is up to you. And of course, you would be paid accordingly.Especially with electronic music, there's a lot less live recording happening which makes it much easier for someone to take on both roles, so it's very common to see producers with writing credits.  And in dance music you will often see artists that hold Artist, Producer, & Composer credits. You can always look up album credits to see who is listed as a composer/writer/producer/engineer/artist/or any other role.  The best places to find this information online are:AllMusic | Music Search, Recommendations, Videos and ReviewsASCAP ACE Title SearchBMI | Repertoire SearchAnd of course WikipediaCheers,-TimTim White | Official Website
