Does Anybody Watch The Tv Show Revolution On Nbc

Does anybody else watch the NBC television show Revolution?

I've been watching it. It's OK; not great, but not really bad. I was hooked by the premise, that electricity stopped working all over the world. I read a science fiction novel, The Alien Years, by Robert Silverberg, that had the same gimmick. I was wondering how they would explain the failure of electricity, which they finally did in last week's episode. A solution they pulled from another science fiction novel, Neal Stephenson's fabulous The Diamond Age.

Is the EMP Attack in NBC TV Show Revolution Real?

The "EMP" in Revolution isn't a real EMP.... it is fictional. Revolution's "EMP" shuts off all power *worldwide* and seems to *block* power completely, unless you have a secret device.

That's fictional, not real. A real EMP would knock out the power grid in areas under the blast, but would not block electricity.

We've created a YouTube video that compares Revolution's EMP vs. the real threat. It shows photos of the power grid equipment that could be destroyed by a real EMP. (The video is at www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWd93u-Xi8Y).

I hope you'll watch it. It will let you respond with facts and specifics when someone tells you that this is all made up. We also have an EMP simulator on our site, letting you see the odd pattern an EMP blast creates. It is much easier to understand if you look at the graphics. The site is www.EMPCover.com.

Is the TV show Revolution good or bad?

Well, let's just say I only started watching it because Billy Burke was in it. Yes, he was in Twilight, no, he's not a horrible actor. At first I thought, "Hey, another post-apocalyptic TV show, let's see what it is," and I ended up seeing a world with no technology because a few "scientists" used a weapon of mass destruction to shut off all electrically working devices and systems. Then it's about a bunch of young people, going through the country and militias and all that crap. I've grown to hate it than like it. It's a mediocre show though, I don't know about everybody else but, I don't like it anymore.

What are the TV shows to watch this summer 2012?

Seven new shows that sound interesting:Arrow (CW) -- TV adaptation of the comic character Green Arrow.Newsroom (HBO) -- The Aaron Sorkin show about journalism.Crossbones (NBC) -- A show about the world of pirates and assassins.Revolution (NBC) -- All forms of energy are gone, and humanity must survive. The Mindy Project (FOX) -- Mindy Kaling ("Kelly" from The Office)  comedy. The Following (FOX) -- TV show with Kevin Bacon hunting a cult of serial killers.Last Resort (ABC) -- Updated On the Beach, nuclear war survivors on a submarine.Seven returning shows I watch regularly or semi-regularly:Treme (HBO)The Walking Dead (AMC)Breaking Bad (AMC)Modern Family (ABC)The Office (NBC)The Daily Show (Comedy Central)The Big Bang Theory (CBS)*I'm not the best person to answer this question, obviously. My wife and I rarely watch television shows and don't have cable (because we rarely watch TV shows), so nowadays I watch shows online (through the TV) or buy them off iTunes/elsewhere. So there are surely a lot of good shows I simply don't watch often or at all because when we've got the TV on, it's usually to watch movies, and we aren't home much in the evenings when shows are on.

Revolution on NBC having similarities to Stephen King's The Stand?

I'm now watching the 3rd episode of Revolution and noticed one of the main characters, Myles, used a fake name for him and his traveling partner-Stu and Frannie Redman. They were characters from The Stand. Also, it seems that one of the main protagonists is named Randall, as in Randall Flagg. Another comparison is that they haven't showed Randall's face yet, which was a key point in the 1st part of The Stand. Am I crazy or is there lines being drawn here to connect the two? Maybe this is what happened years after The Stand occurred? Maybe JJ Abrahms take on how the end of civilized society would occur?

Does anyone know the artist singing Crazy Train on the NBC show Revolution season 2 episode 1 ?

Anyone know where the song can be downloaded or where i can listen to it? It was a pretty good cover of the Ozzy classic. It was featured in the first few minutes at the begining of the episode. Thank you to all who answer :)

Why do people watch bad TV shows?

The question is, is that a bad TV show because the show is of low-quality, or because certain statements voiced during the show stirred an outrage among some viewers? For example, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was the most complained about show in 2017: many viewers found Colbert to be ‘un-American’ and called his views “disgraceful” and “disgusting”.Now, did the show become bad because of Colbert’s jokes about the administration in power? I don’t thinks so — the jokes may be funny for a neutral viewer and the show isn’t that bad.So while you think that some TV show is bad, there almost always will be people who love the show.
