Does Anyone Actually Know Why They Would Want Hillary To Run In 2016 Forget The Fact She

Do the people who voted for Hillary forget that she tried to outlaw flag burning?

I dont have many nice things to say about her but on this issue, she seems to used to be very patriotic.

Why did everyone think that Hillary Clinton would win the elections when she didn't?

Many of the major media outlets read the national polls and saw the lead she had built then assumed that meant a win.In fact, the polls were pretty accurate. What the major media outlets didn’t do, though, was look at state by state polling to estimate the electoral college.Only a few did that. And those who did started expressing concerns early in October that there were possible weaknesses for Hillary in the states she lost. (For example, Nate Silver noted weaknesses for Hillary quite early.)Why did the major outlet do this? Hard to know for certain. However, there’s a good book written about the Clinton ’92 campaign that noted how Clinton would give a speech and the first outlet would file a story that said “Clinton says X”. All the other media outlets would then say “Clinton says X” even though there were plenty of other stories they could have written. There’s a type of herd reality that can affect reporters - especially on a campaign. Some reporters are quite good at breaking past it. But on average the herd mentality seems to dominate mostly (not always). This year I think it was compounded because with Nate Silver’s 538 rising to prominence, a lot of the outlets have started trying to do the same thing - hire someone to look at the polls and come to conclusions for the outlet.EXCEPT, from what I observed, none of them execute with discipline like the 538 team. So there were a lot of “leaps of faith” that then led to “Hillary is going to win” headlines. All that being true, up until the Comey announcement those media outlets would have been accurate. But the Comey announcement did happen and it did throw the election to Trump. These outlets didn’t catch that truth and that risk.As a side note: Nate Silver now “blames” (as much as one can given a “what might have been situation”) the Comey announcement for causing the final shift the polls detected (which were reflected in ballots) that let Trump win. And he observes that the newspapers don’t want to say this is true because it challenges their own approach to reporting on Comey - because it was their reports that drove the change and put Trump in office.

What do you think about the rumours that Hillary Clinton wants to run again in 2020?

A2A — I’m pretty sure that Secretary Clinton very much wants to run again in 2020, but I’m about as sure that she will not.Her year was 2016 — she had laid the groundwork, over decades, to make a lot of people think that she was “the most qualified candidate for President in history,” (even though that was hardly true — Al Gore was far more qualified than Clinton, to name one.) She announced early and built up a huge war chest to discourage other Democrats from throwing their hats into the ring. She made sure that the eminently popular President Obama signed on to the whole “most qualified ever,” to the point that he told people that if they didn’t vote for her, it was a personal insult to him. She conspired with the DNC to work against the Bernie Sanders campaign. Her opponent in the general election was a buffoon, who practically no one believed stood a chance. And she lost.Democrats, across the board, despise President Trump, and a not insignificant number of them blame her, and her inept campaign management, for his election. That takes a lot of “assumed” votes away from her. She doesn’t have the ability to dominate the fundraising landscape that she did in the 2016 campaign, and it is highly unlikely that President Obama (still extremely popular among liberals) would endorse her like he did in 2016, if at all.So, she would face a lot of competition in 2020, and would most likely be scrubbed out of the race early. She would be a three times failure. She’s not stupid, I think that she knows that she stands little chance of being the party’s nominee in 2020, and, beyond that, she would face a tough general election against President Trump, who beat her in 2016, largely by playing up her foibles and failures, and playing down her ability to connect with the typical American. For that reason, while I think that Secretary Clinton very much wants to run for President in 2020, there is very little chance of her actually running.

Why are conservatives still talking about Hillary Clinton so long after she was defeated in the presidential election?

Is this really the case? For the most part, the questions regarding Clinton that I see here on Quora are of the troll variety. Posed by spiteful creatures who advertise ignorance and intolerance - and probably have little else to do in their pathetic lives.Clinton was yesterday’s woman. And I am sorry to say that even in 2016 she wore the mantle of yesterday’s woman.Picking on a tired old woman, whose best days are more than likely behind her is a shabby act. The act of an impotent bully.I imagine if I were called upon to defend such action - the only defence offered would be meager, consisting of weakly pointing out that there are still ham-fisted attempts by her supporters to continue to keep her name relevant. A sorry attempt to entice this now embittered old woman to perhaps consider running again. And that is equally despicable. For the sake of decency, it would serve both sides better to leave the old woman alone.

Why do some Trump supporters still bring up Hillary Clinton in almost any current discussion about Trump?

Because their fearless leader does. Frankly I just don’t understand why Trump has any supporters. But then again, a certain percentage of people in the US believe in conspiracy theories - they read Infowars and believe it. It takes very little life experience and intelligence to see that the purveyors of sites like Inforwars are just SELLING things - supplements, etc. Maybe it’s the same people who believe in these crackpot theories, managing to be in complete denial about reality., who manage to ignore the fact that Trump is an incredibly ignorant bully, and REALLY stupid. Whenever Trump notices attention going somewhere away from what he considers to be the “important” news stories, he goes back to bashing Clinton, even though she’s not the slightest bit relevant to anything happening currently. She lost the election but she is still an important rallying cry for his (idiotic) supporters.

Is Hillary going to run in 2020?

I seriously hope she runs, wins the Democratic nomination using every crooked method she is so experienced at and takes out all of her criminal colleagues with her.Think I am harsh? Just consider a simple fact: when the clinton’s left the Whitehouse, Hillary declared that they were broke, nothing. So much so, they had to borrow money from a “friend” to buy their $3MM suburban NYC house (good to have friends)Within a dozen years, the clintons have amassed an breathtaking fortune estimated at $200MM. All of this with Bill unemployed on a president’s pension and Hillary only working for 4 years on a government salary.Amazing, you though feeding the multitudes with 7 fishes was tough?Their daughter, who has only held honorary roles at a non profit just bought a $10MM, enormous condo in NYC!! With a husband whose only job was “manageing the investments” of the clintons non profit. You do the math, but to me these disgusting beings have criminally stolen millions from donors, taxpayers and loyal acolytes for years and gotten away with it.We don’t need special counsels and partisan investigations, we need people to open their eyes to the deep corruption of the Democratic Party.

How come Condilia Rice gets a bad rap, but Hillary Clinton is America's new presidential darling?

Why has Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice backed out of delivering the commencement address at Rutgers University following protests by some faculty and students over her role in the Iraq War? Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton is yucking it up and eyeing a presidential run in 2016? Do people forget HER support of the Iraq war?

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members ... It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."
