REAL QUESTION: I'm new to anime, and whenever I finish a season or so I feel depressed to leave the characters behind. I even feel this when im waiting for a new episode or season.

This started when I finished "So, I can't play H" I hated the ending because we never understood who exactly who was the main characters father. Anyone know how to cope with this? I understand that they are not going to make a new episode or season of SICPH? but that is not the only anime that refers to this.

Does anyone else feel sad after watching Anime?

Haganai! I've watched them all and can't help but feel sad, almost to the point of depression. It's like I miss certain charicters when I'm not watching it (Sena). It's like i built a connection to the charicters and then when I finished the series, it feels as though something important has just vanished from my life. I might watch it from the begging again. I just watched Seitokai Yakuindomo as I heard it was similar, it was good but I just can't get over Haganai.

I only get a little sad when I get to the end of an Anime (i.e Yu Yu Hakusho)

Did anyone else also feel sad when L died in Death Note?

We all got attached to ‘L’ as his character was very smartly written. His character was very inspiring, charming. When L died, that was the best episode of ‘Death Note’.That character of “L”, conflict between L and Light was wonderfully created by the writers. After L’s death, this series became a little dull and less interesting. Maybe because it was not possible to create another character like ”L” for writers. “Near” was good but not like “L”.And L was the real hero of ‘Death Note’ , not Light or Near.

Does anyone else get that depressed/empty feeling after you finish a really good anime?

I have watched a lot of anime, I guess you could say I'm sort of an addict. But every time I finish an anime, I get a really depressed/empty feeling. Does anyone know how to get ride of that quickly? It goes away after a while, but it will really suck for at least a week typically. At times though it lasts a lot longer. When I finished Angel Beats, Durarara, School Rumble for example, it took me at least a month to get over those, to be quite honest I still don't think I am. It's just this feeling that I don't want the characters to end. Once you've grown attached to them and you feel like a part of their lives and love their world; it's like having good friends just ripped from you're life. I also have a want to live in the world of the show I just watched...
The show that has stuck with me the longest however is Sword Art Online... I finished that series a LONG time ago and I cannot get over it... It was just so amazing...

PS moving on to a new show quickly doesn't work

Depressed when an anime ends? :/?

It is SOOOO depressing, when ouran high school host club finished I was searching everywhere in case it continues, it was to distract me from my sadness,
the same thing when i finished reading dengeki daisy, but it was still hanging and I had to wait for the rest to be translated (DX so annoying!) I decided to distract myself with other manga :3 and that made me forget about it and all :)

Does anyone else feel depressed/empty after finishing an anime?

I used to feel like that. Anime is so beautiful and intense. I was unhappy with my own life and wanted to live like them. I particularly liked the anime shows that had to do with spiritual energy and Japanese folklore/mythology (Inuyasha, DB). The Japanese culture is very appealing to me. I recently started looking into Shintoism, which is a religion based on Japanese gods. Shrines and such in Japan are for those gods (Buddhism has temples too). It's a pro-humanity and optimistic religion that focuses on family and nature. I'm not an expert, so that's not a completely accurate description.

Anyways you're not alone. I actually have to stay away from Naruto, because I relate too much to having a "demon" inside me and get very unhappy while watching it. I also limit my anime to the weekends, so I don't spend too much time watching it.

Anime shows that tore out my heart: DB, inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, FMA, rurouni kenshin, and MANY MORE! Lol. ^_^

Why do I feel sad after I finish a watching anime?

Coz you are wasting your time. You have got 1 precious life and you are wasting it by watching anime.I am not saying that you suddenly stop watching anime but you should try to stop the addiction. You can fix a particular time where you will watch only one episode per day. It is a well experimented technique.Remember these things:Try to be as productive as possible.Wake up early in the morning at least two and a half hours before your school or work time.Go for a 20 min walk.Daily do something that brings out the real you, that challenges you like talking to your crush or trying to socialise etc.Always have a smile on your face.
