Does Anyone Else Feel They Should Have Been Born In A Different Time Period

Does any of you ever wish you were born in a different time period?

I so wish i could have been born in the early twentieth century instead of the late. I just love all the history of the first half of that century. The best thing of all though is the films that were produced between the 1920s and the early 1960s. Back then they had real movie stars and not the fake ones of today! Movies made back then are actually entertaining to me unlike the ones made today.
I think one of the big reasons why there are no good films today is because Hollywood has become lazy and has made enough money where they do not have to try anymore. back when they had to come up with good story lines or no one would come to the theater. now movies have become so popular no one has to try anymore. Plus there are a few people that lived during that time period that i think i would get along with famously. sadly they are all dead today.
I so wish instead of being born in the 90s i could have been born in say 1910. And if i couldn't live back then i at least wish i could travel back in time. In a way, that might be better. that way i could leave when ever i wanted. Plus I would have knowledge of the future and could use that to my advantage. so, is there a certain you wished you lived in?

Anyone else feel they were born in the wrong time period?

Ohhh yes, I was born in the late 90s lol. I loved my childhood, but by the time middle school rolled around I was greatly wishing I lived in the 60s or 70s. Im a huge Beatles fan, and I listen to mostly 60s and 70s musiv like Eric Clapton, Queen, David Bowie, Stevie Wonder etc. I definitely dont fit in with many of my peers who are into One Direction, Jonas Brothers, Glee, and the VMAs and stuff. I find many if the modern musics catchy, but nothing compares to 60s/70s lol, wish I was around then, although my parents say it was a lot of worse back then. Maybe I do like the age I'm in to certain extents, although the internet and social media is corrupting society i think haha. Kinda wish I was out of school too :3

Does anybody feel they where meant to be born in a different time?

According to my spirit world sources (see below), every person on Earth was meant to be born in exactly the time into which they were born. However, it is possible they might have a sense of a bygone era.All spirits have an agenda in the spirit world, a plan for how they will make progress. When one lifetime has been completed, they might wait for many years, even decades, before taking another one (the minimum time is approximately one year). In the meantime, they will learn some of the many lessons available in the spirit world. When ready to take another lifetime, they make a request to the Creator and several lifetimes are made available to them. After careful consideration, with guidance from Master spirits, they choose the one they believe will best provide the lessons they had selected at the end of their previous lifetime. When attaching to a human lifetime, a spirit will retain some memories from a few previous lifetimes, those that are most pertinent to this one. They might convey a sense of one of those previous times to their human life.My sources are two spirits who spoke to me through another person (directly, not channeled). I have written of my experience, and more of what was revealed to me, in The Invisible Choir.

Why do I feel like I'm born in a different time period?

I don’t know about you but I sometimes feel like I was born in wrong millennia, for me it is because that there are too many people and people are too much separated away from the nature. I think we are denying our nature and basic instincts since we’ve started believing semitic religions. Anyway, since you cannot control the time you live in, just keep on and try to do your best

I feel like I should've been born in a different time period?

I say to you now that you shouldn't fight the feeling you have. There's not much adventure left in the world, as we've begun to let it rot, but you can still see the world. You can still go to the black forest, or what's left of it, and walk the cliffs in Ireland, and see the mountains in Romania, experience the world the way only an adventurous soul would ever dare to do. I left a month ago for my first trip overseas, with 600 dollars and a plan to stay for a month. I've seen and experienced more these last four months than I did the last nineteen years of my life, so I'd say it was worth the risk, and would say to you it will be worth the risk. Go live your life, become an Archaeologist, or an Anthropologist. You'll find it's more amazing than you could imagine.

Just live your life. I'd rather live twenty years, and see the world than live one hundred years, and never leave my home.

Does anyone else feel like they were born in the wrong era?

i had a moment like that when i was in high school and we were learning about he 1920s. i dont really know how to describe it, but i felt like i was homesick for the 1920s lol... like i felt like i belonged more in that era than i do in this era. sure it probably wasnt the most ideal time in history (the great war had just ended and they were all heading for the age of dictatorships and the second world war) but just everything about it calls to me. the jazz music, the wild parties (not like the parties we have now where underage teens die of alcohol poisoning, etc), the fashion and the flappers, the literature... its weird, its like this feeling of nostalgia waves over me like i really once lived during the 1920s. maybe i did in my past life... who knows. lol

Is it weird that I wish I was born in a different time period?

Okay, I admit the 2000s are pretty cool with the music and medical advances we have now. Also technology is really helpful.

But, for years now, I have also secretly hated the time period we are in now, enough to the point I kind of consider suicide.

Anyways, I am constantly wishing I was born in the 1600s around the colonial era. Though I am pretty sure I would have been burnt at the stake by now(a lot of reasons for that... Including actually being into witchcraft for a very short amount of time).

But yeah, I actually pray quite often that I would wake up back then, since I just hate how the world works now a day, and like, all the just stupidness of the world now, hate to say it, but that is kind of how I feel about how the world is now. Like every teen I know, can't be separated from their iPhone for even a few hours(I just turned 17 by the way, so not hating on this generation).

And the world is ugly now, and just so much pollution and stuff.

Anyways, weird that I really wish I could just go back to the colonial era? If I was given the chance I would willingly travel back in time I think.

Does anyone else wish they lived in ancient times?

Heavens to Betsy, no!

Imagining living in a bygone era is good escapism, and arguably good for mental well-being, but sometimes needs a reality check.

Remember that for most of human history, pretty much nobody ever washed their hands or bathed. Most infants died before their first birthday, and mothers quite often died in childbirth. Infection was the likeliest cause of death for any individual. Water wasn't safe to drink. Starvation was an ever-prevent problem, as was epidemic. (If it didn't rain enough, you starved; if it rained too much, you starved.) Sewer systems were but a dream in most societies. Human rights and civil liberties were more or less nonexistent. The list goes on.

Sure, there's a poetic quality to history, and nostalgia is pretty great in its own right . . . but I, as a student and lover of history, wouldn't want to live in any time but now.

Do you feel that you are born in a totally different era and that you belong to a completely different time?

I wish i had been born when my grandmother was in 1912. She lived through the best transforming process and great times in London in the 20’s and into the sixties. She lived through two wars and lived a simple life.No technology. No wifi. No smart phones. No internet. No social media. No trolling. No contact 24/7. Sundays rest day. No cars or few and beautifully designed. No tabloids. No computers. No offices. No supermarkets. No junk food. Rations on wheat and sugar which cause problems today. Less tempations. Less comparing. Less chemicals. Limited alcohol. No tv. More family values. Less electricityIt was simpler. Gorgeous steam trains. Character cars. Pen and paper writing. Simple foods. More community spirit. Easier to get work. More glamourous and simple. More anonymity.Wish i could go back in time.
