Does Anyone Else Recognize The Stepping From That Famous Song

What's the name of the 70s song with a chorus of "please don't go away"? It was in Almost Famous

Beach Boys - Feel Flows
Soundtrack: Almost Famous

This is the only Beach Boys song on the soundtrack.

Lyrics:

Unfolding enveloping missiles of soul
Recall senses sadly
Mirage like soft blue like lanterns below
To light the way gladly
Whether whistling heaven's clouds disappear
Where the wind withers memory
Whether whiteness whisks soft shadows away
Feel flows (White hot glistening shadowy flows)
Feel goes (Black hot glistening shadowy flows)

Unbending never ending tablets of time
Record all the yearning
Unfearing all appearing message divine
Eases the burning
Whether willing witness waits at my mind
Whether hope dampens memory
Whether wondrous will stands tall at my side
Feel flows (White hot glistening shadowy flows)
Feel goes (Black hot glistening shadowy flows)

Encasing all embracing wreath of repose
Engulfs all the senses
Imposing, unclosing thoughts that compose
Retire the fences
Whether wholly heartened life fades away
Whether harps heal the memory
Whether wholly heartened life fades away
Whether wondrous will stands tall at my side
Whether whiteness whisks soft shadows away
Feel goes (White hot glistening shadowy flows)
Feel flows (Black hot glistening shadowy flows)
Feel goes (White hot glistening shadowy flows)
Feelings to grow (White hot glistening shadowy flows)

White hot glistening shadowy flows
White hot glistening shadowy flows
White hot glistening shadowy flows

Is anybody familiar with the 1950's honky tonk singer, Johnny Horton?

He was one of the most versatile singers of all time, and was known mainly for his patriotic songs such as "The Battle of New Orleans" and "Sink the Bismarck". I love his music and wish I had all of his recordings!

What makes "Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson such a great song?

Billie Jean is Michael Jackson’s BEST song for a few reasons. The name of the song: Quincy Jones originally wanted Michael Jackson to change the name to “Not My Lover” because he thought that many people who heard the record would think Jackson was referring to tennis great - Billie Jean King. The very name of the song got people wondering. That is part of why this song is such a timeless classic. The theme of the song: The song is Jackson’s most paranoid, dark and fearful track that he’s ever made. It’s a crazed fan’s paternity suit against him. Look at some of the lyrics: “Billie Jean is not my lover, she's just a girl who says I am the one, but the kid is not my son”. Those lyrics are both at once gripping and dark. People are drawn to controversy, much like the name of the song, the theme of the song, serves controversy up by the buckets. The instruments: The horns, funk guitar riffs, drums, pianos, synthesizers and that truly magnificent bass line, just made Billie Jean the most infectious song that has ever been recorded. I am a Jackson fan, but even if I weren’t, it’d be practically impossible to find a song whose beat is more memorable than this one. All of the hooks on the song play in succession. The truly special part about that is that none of the hooks get in the way of the next hook. Quincy Jones was on his A game as producer where this was concerned. The Motown 25 Performance: Jackson danced his butt off during his solo. Breaking out the Backslide, as it is known in the streets, or the Moonwalk, as it is known in the music world. He actually learned this dance move in 1980 but chose to unveil it in 1983 during his solo spot on the anniversary show. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect as Thriller (the album) was released barely four months before, so it was still fresh, and Jackson fans still couldn’t get enough of the Billie Jean video on MTV. Jackson just pulled this out at the right time.

Help! What is this song!?!? Sounds like jazz but played on r&b stations sometimes?

There's this song I heard a few times in the past while listening to v103 (Chicago R&B and old school).

I'm not even sure if it's considered jazz, but it was the closest thing I can think of. It has no lyrics, so I couldn't just look it up on google, and I guess I never called the station to ask cause I was scared :P

So I just waited for it to be played next time and hoped that the radio would say its title (never happened). This was before I found that you can just go onto their website and look at the songs they recently played, but after I finally did find out this feature, they never played it again : (

So can anyone help? Someone's gotta know or have suggestions because this jazz-like song must be unique in that it was the only non r&b song I heard played on an r&b station multiple times (it was also played in the background during a step show). It sounds pretty relaxing, and always reminds me of tropics or waterfalls, and the ending has a brilliant saxophone part!

What do celebrities do to live a normal life, without everyone recognizing and taking photos of them?

Broadly speaking, the more recognizable a celebrity is, the more difficult it is for them to appear in public without having encounters they would prefer not to.That can range from simple admirers to paparazzi to stalkers. If wealth has accompanied their rising star, then there are additional risks of kidnapping, extortion and genuinely pathological people intent on causing great harm. Their children require even more protection.Consequently, most famous people are forced to live within a cocoon of safety and dare not step out of it very often. When they do, it will be only in certain places and often accompanied by protection you don't immediately notice, if notice at all. Or they will partly disguise themselves in light and easy ways (baseball caps, sunglasses, remain unshaven for a couple weeks, hoodies, wigs, etc.).Stepping out like that is, in essence, a protest action on their part, a rebellion against the dark costs of their popularity. Most try it a few times, and then give up and resign themselves to a lifestyle very different than they had before they became famous.Consequently, what for you and me is a simple trip to the store to get milk becomes a high-stress expedition when you are a celebrity. The usual solution is to employ people to handle such things for them, while remaining safely within what to us looks like luxury mansions but to them can at times also feel like golden cages. When they travel, they do so within the safety of private aviation. When they go on holiday, they do so at exclusive resorts with the scale, staff and facilities to remain very isolated from the local environment.Newly-minted celebrities have the most difficulty with their surprising new circumstances. To them, they’ve been struggling for a decade or two to build a career, and when that breakthrough film or song or other professional action finally propels them into massive success, to them it actually doesn’t feel much different than what they’ve been doing for years. And yet suddenly their lives feel turned upside down. Yes, there’s now money, often lots of it, and of course that’s nice. But now a lot of it has to be spent on employing a private security company whose primary directive to their newly famous client is, stay inside.Fame and fortune are not free, they come with a very high price.
