Does Anyone Have An Idea For A Last Name That Suggests A Motherly Character

What does "mother's maiden name" mean? How would you explain it to a child?

If you were explaining it to a child, you would say that "mother's maiden name" is your mother's full name before she got married, that is, her name with her original family name (or "surname"), the name she used when she was a girl and a young woman, before she started using the title "Mrs." "Maiden" here means "unmarried woman." So "maiden name" refers to a woman's name when she was still an unmarried woman. As Madsen Sparler has said, in many cultures, when a woman gets married, she takes the family name of her husband's family, so her name changes.Let us say that your mother's name was Mary and she was born into the Smith family. Her maiden name would be "Mary Smith." Then, let us say, she married your father, whose name was Tom Jones. When she married him, she became Mrs. Jones. That is her married name, but her maiden name would always be Mary Smith.

I need a last name for my story characters.?

Ok so I have two characters in my story so I need some awesome last names for them. The main character in the story is named Jess and her mother is named Sara. They're demon hunters so i want something totally sweet.
Oh, also there is another character, Kyle. I could use a last name for him too. He isn't related to Jess or Sara but he is also a demon hunter.

Last name suggestions please?

Hi,
My mother died last year and now I want to cut all ties to my horrible, abusive father.
I have his(their) last name and since my mom isn't around anymore I've decided to change it.
Please do not suggest getting married.
I can't marry a man just to get his last name.
This decision is well thought through so please don't try to talk me out of it.
Thank you.

Could 'Undómiel' actually have been Arwen's Amilessë (mother name) from Celebrían, rather than an Epessë?

It could have been her Amilessë, but that isn’t attested by the text, and what little evidence we do have on her names suggests that it was given to her as a recognition that she’s the most beautiful elf born to the later generations of Middle-earth. The elves (esp. the Noldor and Sindar) recognise that their time is nearly done, and so name her Undomiel as a statement that she is the last light of the elves in the east before they leave Arda.Which, when you think about it, really is rather a strange pattern to name her with. The elves famously love the night and the light of stars, so in a way it makes sense, but the Evenstar comes with the onset of night, which would technically mean, to my mind, that Undomiel would infer that the Elves would come to grow and control Arda, rather than be leaving it. The association of the ending of the power of the elves tends to be paired with the sunrise in other instances.Though I could be overthinking it; it could simply be referring to her hair being dark or some such.

I am writing a book, and I need a last name for the first name Raiden. Any ideas?

Raiden Frost Raiden Shaw Raiden Covino I've written hundreds of short stories and one year I had the opportunity to sit with a fiction author idol of mine. I asked him a few questions and one was: "How do you come up with such great names for your characters?" His response:"I have three methods that work for me; I enjoy taking walks through cemetaries and writing down real names that speak to me. Second, if I find a great first name that has one syllable I try to think of a last name or nic-name with two or three syllable."If I find a name I like with two syllables, I go for a last name with one or three syllable. This way it's not too comic book like 'Peter Parker', 'Vickie Vale', or 'Clark Kent'. And finally, what ever I choose it needs to roll off the tongue easily. It's more believable that way. Remember, even though it's just a fictional character, a fictional mother and father put some real fictional time into naming them." I've stuck with his advice and have been quite satisfied.

Did Jesus have a last name?

Considering that Paul’s Epistle to the Colossians (which predates the Synoptic Gospels) describes Jesus as “the firstborn over all creation,” in whom “all things were created,” Jesus was evidently present at the birth of the Universe and would predate humanity, and consequently would also predate last names. Which Jews did not use, incidentally.
