Does Anyone Have Any Advice For Finals

What are freshman finals like in high school? What do I need to know, and any tips?

I recently finished my 1st semester as a freshman and I can tell you that finals are pretty simple if you know some hacks and tips to make the experience a bit smoother. First of all, stop stressing about it so much because it’s going to be here and your going to have to study for it anyways so go figure. I usually studied the night before the finals because I retain information much faster however this might not work for you so try to find a time that does. Now when I study I like to sort my notes from what I know to what I don’t know. I spend more time studying the things I don’t know or I forgot and get a quick refresher on the things I do know so that saves a ton of time. Lastly, I’ve learned that if I work hard the entire semester, I don’t have to work that hard on the final in order to get an A for the entire semester. Remember to eat a full breakfast with fiber such as oatmeal. Don’t stress, study hard, and good luck!

How to ace math finals if you suck at math?

It's important FIRST to practice the stuff you already know how to do, so that you feel 100% confident about it, and hardly ever make a mistake. This is MORE important than trying to get a vague idea of how to do "everything else." When you have a sense of real mastery in at least a few areas, it will then become actually easier to get that same sense about newer topics.

How do I pass my final exams? Does anybody have any revision tips?

For every subject, you first need to build your sense of direction in your studies. That means you need to be constantly aware what are the topics you already know and what are the topics still require you to spend more time to study. In order to build your sense of direction in your studies, you need to study to understand, which provides for solid memories, rather than studying to remember/memorizing.Assuming you are still in school (though it can be applicable in college), this is what I will suggest you doAllocate a fixed time for homework and studying in each day. This will give you an idea on how much time you need each day to do both which makes you more organized. For each day, ideally before you g to bed, allocate 1 hour to finish your homework and the next hour doing some short revisions from what you learned during school. The short revisions include writing some short notes of what you know and what you still need to learn from today’s lessons. In the final 5 minutes of that one hour revision session, you do a reflection on what you have learn in all your lesson today. This meaning making a summary of what you have learned today and what you still need to learn or not sure or seek help from the teacher on the next day.By doing a reflection, you get a clear idea of what you know and don’t know which then gives you direction on what you need to learn in school. This will naturally give you a sense of purpose in studying and studying as well as keeping you engaged in your study session. Thus, you will naturally have the motivation to keep learning and studying.During the weekends (or any full day), allocate a 2 or 3 hour study session, with a 15 minutes break in between, on each weekend for a study session. The most ideal time to do this is in the morning when you just had your breakfast. In the last 15 minutes of each study session, you also do a reflection on what you have learned and what you still need to improve on. This will give you a sense of direction on what you still need to learn in class for the next week. If you repeat this step, you will realized you are studying more efficiently by constantly focus on improvement. You may add one more 3 hour study session on a full day if you do not have anything else on.All this allows you to study efficiently and still have time to have fun and have a good night sleepSeeTimothy Soo's answer to How do top students study?

Incredibly stressed out about finals?!?

im going through finals too and yes INCREDIBLY stressful. but try to relax because putting too much stress on yourself can harm your scores. so basically if you have payed attention in class and all that you should be prepared... if you have good grades then there shouldn't be much to study.. its just a test on everything you have ALREADY learned :) if you have already learned them then you should just be reviewing to help refresh your brain :) but if you dont know the info u can try your best to learn it but its awfully hard to learn that much in a period of days.. i like to dress comfy.. eat good breakfast.. get goodnight sleep.. do some last min study in the morning.. try to analyze what u think the most important things were that you learned or things that your teachers overly emphasized a lot good luck! wish me luck too

Economics final exam tips?

I am taking my final exam tomorrow in economics. Its all multiple choices but there is a lot of information to remember. Does anyone have some tips on how to take a economics multiple choices test and ways I could study. My grade right now is a 96% and we went through 5 units. Since I am in high school and am a senior I do not have to take the test on the unit 5 stuff but it will be on the final and then my teacher is going to take those questions and input a test grade for the unit 5 stuff. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Is there anyone out there who took Math 113 at BYU? Do you have any tips for doing well in the class? Or at least on the final?

Spend a lot of time in the Math Lab. When I worked there I often saw better scores from people that took time to make sure they got the help they needed.

I am in my final year of school, but I am at a dead end when it comes to figuring out what I want to do. How do I get out of such a situation?

I came to know what I wanted to do in life at the age of 29. I'm pursuing it at the age of 36.For me.. My 10 grade 12th grade Graduation Masters doesn't matter anymore. You have to be a genius to be able to know what exactly you want to do in life at that age. In fact as you grow.. Your tastes will change. You will hate to do what you loved years before. I'm just average person. I'm happy with my choices.
