Does Anyone Have Any Good Topics For An Epq

What are some good extended essay topics for economics?

the Extended Essay requirement of the Diploma Programme, is one of the more enjoyable and challenging parts of the course. Students endeavor to write a mini-thesis on an original topic, based on a subject on their choice. Economics and Business Management seem to be common subject choices and I regularly supervise 4-5 students each year. Students pick topics which are either related to Singapore, or a country where they call home. In recent years, Singapore has provided plenty of original topics relating to recessions and government interventions. For more help read this article. Some of the recent research questions from my students include…To what extent will the policy of supplementary income payments be effective to boost the Gross Domestic Product of Japan in 2009?To what extent has the recession affected the consumption of demerit goods in Singapore? Are the movie industries in Singapore recession-proof?To what extent has price changes affected the demand for public transport in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area?To what extent are the HDB flats affordable in Singapore from 2000 to 2010?How effective are Electronic Road Pricing policies in reducing congestion in Singapore? To what extent has the government intervention in the market for hybrid cars lead to rise in demand in Singapore?

Please help me with epq topics?

I think you should reconsider doing a law paper. The US Supreme Court just released an opinion on June 25 striking down as unconstitutional the mandatory sentencing of juveniles to life without the possibility of parole. The language is very strong, and the dissent is equally strong. This is a controversial topic which may have some relevance in your country as well:

The opinion is Miller versus Alabama. You can go to the Supreme Court website for a copy of the opinion: www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/11pdf/10-9...

There are also scholarly blogs which can help you get a basic understanding of the decision:

Need ideas for an EPQ topic to do with football?

Do a massive essay stating the reasons for and against implementing Technology in to the game,

Goaline Technology
Instant Video Replays
The Use of a fourth official, to determine things like Handball...
Offside decisions

I think they should Use technology in all aspects of the game,

Is this a good topic for my Extended Project in Sociology?

Since you have stated that this is a Sociology project, it's not advised that you stretch out into other domains e.g. Psychology which your topic is more related to. Your idea of the impact of society on the individual is fine, it's just the aspect of looking at yourself and your depression and EDNOS that isn't relevant to Sociology. If you pursue with this then it might lead to you wasting your time completely even if your teacher says (yeah yeah this is fine) or waffling on about things that have nothing to do with Sociology. Bear in mind, teachers can also make the mistake of accepting your work as relevant but when the actual examiner marks it you may get a big fat 0 so be safe rather than sorry. Also, the thing about broad topics like this is that you might get too detailed about your topic and therefore lose sight about your initial title.

If you keep your title 'the impact of society...' without the who I am etc. part, you could look at other topics such as the impact of society on the working class male, the impact of society on the male/female etc. etc. narrowing it down to a few aspects for example in the home and in the workplace (depending on the topic you choose.) It's best to choose 1-3 topics to discuss once your title has been established and expand on this than include other subjects. Your essay is more likely to be successful then. WRITE A LOT ABOUT A LITTLE!

What are interesting topics for the extended project?

Choose a topic that interests YOU.
Do you like art, history, music?

Here's a few ideas to get the ball rolling for you.

- Art/music movement. (Abstract, Expressionism / Punk, Romantic or research a band you like.)
- War/conflict. (World War I / II or something modern like Iraq?)
- Politics. (First female prime minister (Margaret Thatcher. Political groups and their views?)
- Social issues/Sociology? (Feminist movement, New Right, Marxists? Something I'd choose if I was in your shoes, but that's my opinion.)

If you want to earn more brownie points, since these types of topics not only have endless streams of research to look up, but also offer a debate and so you could ramble on for hours about different views and opinions, stuff like:

- The topic of Euthanasia.
- Animal Testing.
- Laws/Regulation changes.

If you're doing this for PSHE/PSE, ASDAN or similar, they're good topics to use and can be interesting if you like debates.

Good luck on your GCSE.
