Does Anyone Here Have A Zibbet Shop

Etsy vs. Zibbet?

I make a lot of home made items and am looking to expand from a Facebook page to an actual selling page. Has anyone tried Etsy or Zibbet or can recommend a good site to sell crafted items? I have tried Ebay and did not have much luck due to the fact that its not really a crafters site I think. Any help would be great seeing as to how I am just venturing into the internet business instead of just craft fairs.

How much work is selling clothing you make online on a shopify store?

Selling anything online is not easy.It requires hard work, patience, and an insatiable desire to never stop learning. Good reading: Work hard. Stay patient. Keep learning. As a creative seller, you’re on the right track. You’re thinking of building your own website, and therefore building your own brand and owning the traffic you send to it. Kudos to you. Many people don’t take this path and they suffer for it as their business grows.Driving traffic is the hardest part. Obviously, you need to start getting people to visit your store. Without shoppers there are no sales after all. If you have a marketing budget you can start to try Google Adwords, or even better, Facebook Ads (as they’re highly targeted to your specific audience). A longer term strategy is to begin building your audience on social media. The best “tactic” for social media is to simply find a way to add value to your target audience. Do this over and over and over again and occasionally promote your products. The goal is to give more than you take and over time you’ll be rewarded for it.A quick way to attract more eyeballs is to get your products listed on popular marketplaces. For handmade clothing, we would suggest Etsy, Amazon Handmade, Zibbet, Bonanza, Storenvy, and listing on eBay is also a good idea. The idea here is that simply by listing your products in all of these locations, you’ll start to get more people viewing your products. Hopefully you’ll make some sales too. As you do, make sure you’re always funneling customers to your standalone website (and all your marketing efforts should be directed to your website too).Like I said, selling online is not easy. Remember, keep working hard and have patience. The sales will come. Find what works and do it day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. It’s a long game, so buckle up. :)Full disclosure: I’m the founder of Zibbet, an eCommere platform for creative sellers.

What is the best site to sell my handmade products on, which will also allow me my own separate URL?

Hi there,So I’m going to tell you a trick that’s a bit unusual, for two reasons:Having your own site is expensive. I use shopify for mine, but I have to constantly drive traffic to it, update it, check it, add plugins, and quite frankly, it’s not worth it.Websites like Etsy, Zibbet, etc. will give you access to TONS of traffic that would cost you a FORTUNE to send to your website.Websites like Etsy make customers feel comfortable. Buyers trust the site. Buyers are MORE likely to make a purchase on Etsy than on your website (trust me on this, for every sale I make on my website, I make 100+ on Etsy). They can also see all your reviews and contact you in one place. So here’s the trick:Buy your domain name (“RRpetrichorCrafts.com” - whatever you call your shop)…I use bluehost for domain names.Re-direct your domain name to your Etsy shop. This is pretty simple and you can find instructions here. Now just tell people to go to “RRpetrichorCrafts.com”, and your Etsy shop will pop up like magic.Hope this helps! Zibbet offers you a standalone website if you really insist on having a separate site, but the method I’ve mentioned above will honestly make your SEO amazing and it will make your life so much easier. I wish I did it still to this day.Warning: Shamless self-promotion coming up…If you want to sell online, have a look at my blog, where you can learn how to Make Your First 1k on Etsy.
