Does anyone know the answers to the questions for Young Goodman Brown in Perrine's Story and Structure?

The story of Young Goodman Brown by Nathaniel Hawthorne is one of the best short stories. Another novel made by Hawthorne would be The Scarlett Letter which is terrific. Hawthorne is an interesting writer. He is quite ambiguous at times, and when reading his short stories one does not clearly understand his implications. In the case of Young Goodman Brown, the young man's name is significant. "Young" presenting a solid, youthful man, and "goodman" representing the fact that he is faithful and is pure. The story commences as he is somehow entered into the forest, which Hawthorne uses restlessly in many of his other works of writing. In the forest, Goodman Brown comes in contact with a stranger, who is supposed to represent the devil, and the rod that the stranger carries is to depict the serpent, representation of temptation and lust for something.
This is not the end of the story, but you can find multiple anaylses online.

How do you answer questions you don't know the answer to as a CEO?

There is a great story regarding this. The story is about Henry Ford and how we was able to answer all questions which came up in his business life:(Photo: http://Flickr.com / 68 Ford Torino GT / Greg Gjerdingen)A Chicago newspaper wrote very negatively about Henry Ford, the then CEO of his company Ford. Henry Ford went then on to sue the newspaper.During the trial the lawyers of the Chicago newspaper asked Henry Ford a long list of general knowledge question. After some time Mr. Ford became impatient and told the lawyers the following:"If I should really wan to answer the foolish question you have just asked, or any of the other questions you have been asking me, let me remind you that I have a row of electric push-buttons on my desk, and by pushing the right button, I can summon to my aid men who can answer any question I desire to ask concerning the business to which I am devoting most of my efforts. Now, will you kindly tell me, why I should clutter up my mind with general knowledge, for the purpose of being able to answer questions, when I have men around me who can supply any knowledge I require?"So as a CEO you do not actually know all the answers. The answers are out there. Someone knows it, you only need to find it.Of course, if you are letting yourself pressure to give an immediate answer, that is bound to fail, because if you do not know the answer, there is no need to give one.If someone asks me about tough tax regulations, I usually tell them that I will talk to the Chartered Accountant and come back to them with a correct answer.Another example, would be that of Enzo Ferrari, the founder of the Ferrari brand. He had not received any formal education in engineering. Still he was able to build one of the greatest racing engines in history and also build one of the most desirable luxury car brands. This is because a CEO knows, that he/ she has not need to know all the answers to all the questions. He only needs to hire the right people, who can answer these questions for him.Kind RegardsSascha ThattilCEO and Project Manager at Software-Developer-India.com

Does anyone know the answer to these Gatsby questions?

The Great Gatsby is a novel by the American author F. Scott Fitzgerald. First published on April 10, 1925, it is set in Long Island's North Shore and New York City during the summer of 1922.

The novel chronicles an era that Fitzgerald himself dubbed the "Jazz Age". Following the shock and chaos of World War I, American society enjoyed unprecedented levels of prosperity during the "roaring" 1920s as the economy soared. At the same time, Prohibition, the ban on the sale and manufacture of alcohol as mandated by the Eighteenth Amendment, made millionaires out of bootleggers and led to an increase in organized crime. Although Fitzgerald, like Nick Carraway in his novel, idolized the riches and glamor of the age, he was uncomfortable with the unrestrained materialism and the lack of morality that went with it.
