Which are the best Korean dramas/movies you have ever watched in your life?
DRAMASAs you have only watched Descendants of the Sun, I assume you are quite new to Kdrama world. I guess you might like to watch new dramas. Out of hundreds of kdramas that air every year, there were many good dramas that were popular in 2016. Out of the dramas I have watched I have shortlisted and recommend you the followung ten best ones (in no particular order)Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo - My current favourite which I completed watching the last. This is a Sports University Romance.2. W- Two Worlds - Fantacy Romance story which a cartoon character’s world and real world.3. Moonlight Drawn by Clouds - Historical Romance which a girl cross-dress as a man and falls in love with a prince.4. The Legend of the Blue Sea - Fantacy Romance around a mermaid and a con-man5. Cheese in the Trap - Hmmm……. University Romance I’d say. Must warn you it has an abrupt ending.6. Six Flying Dragons - Only if interested in Korean History. Pretty long drama with 50 episodes.7. Doctors (a.k.a Doctor Crush) - Another medical romance8. The K2 - A melodrama with action9. Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo - Another Historical Romance10. Guardian: The Lonely and Great God a.k.a Goblin - Has everything from history, fantasy, romance, comedy.MOVIESThere are so many Korean good movies that I have watched, without knowing a particular genre it is difficult to name a few.But you can start with the following and let me know if you need more recommendations. Is there anyone who doesn't like the Korean drama “Boys Over Flowers,” and why?
Oh, good! An audience who’s not been subjected to my Boys Over Flowers rant!!!Okay, first some history. This drama is a remake of a Japanese Shoujo manga (ie manga for girls) from the 90s, that was made into an anime and then a live-action dorama.All three rapturously embrace this disgusting trend in Japan (of that time at least) of the aloof, RICH bad boy who learns to appreciate our spunky poor heroine, while she keeps the sweet adorable boy next door in a permanent friend zone.In the KDrama, I got faked out. I’d read the manga at least 12 years earlier (I watched BoF in early 2012) & I really didn’t know what a cult following it had. I did think maybe the KDrama might change the story (silly me) and when the KDrama DID change the flow a bit (Jan Di ie stupid girl’s crush - that all-important ‘first love’ Ji Hoo - DOES realize he likes her BEFORE the rich prick Jun Pyo secures her affections) I thought ‘oh good’. And of course got faked out several times :(Still, Lee Min Ho (Jun Pyo) put on a very believable performance and won me over as long as Ji Hoo (I mean, OMG, Kim Hyun Joong, about the most glorious example of male beauty walking the planet) was not in the frame…Mind, Ji Hoo’s true appeal lay in his sweetness, and in his always being there for our heroine. I swear, when Jun Pyo pulled his rich corporate ‘I’m ignoring you now & being all godlike’ crap during that trip to Macau, where Ji Hoo ie Kim Hyun Joong just forever stole my being by sitting down to play ‘Because I’m Stupid’ on his guitar, well! Seriously, this is a horrid message for teen girls. That girl should have run as fast as she could from that rich entitled boy - the BULLY btw. The nice, sweet, gentle, caring young man always by her side? THAT’s the guy to marry, not the one to just be BFFs with.But apparently in Japan, marrying a company man (money, employment etc) whom one hardly sees at all, is expected - while having a guy friend (preferably GAY) during the day, is the IDEAL :( At least as reflected in a lot of these anime.I finished Boys Over Flowers mainly to see what happened with Kim Bum’s character (the potter & his girl). Also to keep KHJ on my screen as much as possible LOL But the show in ALL its versions has major problems.

Has anybody stopped watching anime? Is there any specific reason?
Yes, there was time when I stopped watching anime and it was one the stupidest things I’ve ever done in my fucking life. It was during the end of my senior of high school to the end of summer of my sophomore year of college (i.e. June 2010 to June 2012). The main reason I stopped was because I had really shitty self-control (actually honestly, more like no self-control) when it came to watching anime and no time management skills, so it was getting in the way of my studies. It was stupid: I had to stop watching anime because it interfered with my studies because of my lack of self-control. I even ended up on academic probation at the end of my freshman year of college since I fail in life, but it never fucking ever happened again.Anyway, after I improved my time management skills and my self-control when it comes to anime, I’ve never stopped watching since. I also hate the fact that I had to play catch up on all the decent anime that came out between 2010 to 2012. The struggle was real.I still lack self-control when it comes to gaming and binge watching British/UK/Australian TV shows though, which is why I didn’t watch any while I was in school. I did game; whenever I did, I usually ended up sleeping between 3 to 5 am. Oops.
