Is it bad for me to hate being labeled as “disabled” or even “autistic”?
Being autistic isn’t a bad thing. Many of the worlds best artists, writers, actors have shown signs of being on the spectrum. As for disabled, you are not disabled, you just learn a different way than other people. I’m disabled, but that doesn’t mean I am worth less than an able bodied person.Also, kid. No human is perfect. We are all flawed, and it is flaws, nicks, feathers, cracks that make us unique. Kind of like the feather crack in my diamond wedding ring. It is an imperfection but it actually causes it to reflect more spectrum light. Instead of taking something way from the diamond it adds something extra special to it.Every scar, every mark, every hurt, every giggle, smile or tear molds us into unique beings that are beautiful.
