Does Anyone Know The Quote About Humans Imaging A Future And Pulling It To Themselves

I think I have OCD and can tell the future? Help me please :'(?

- I've asked this before and people were a great help, but I didn't get many answers, thanks.

It's been happening for atleast 3 weeks now,it may sound stupid, but i think I actually can tell the future. I have a mild phobia of people being sick, and a few weeks ago, I thought to myself, I think my sister will feel sick tonight.. (I also use the saying "touch wood" alot, like touching my head to not jinx it, I know its stupid, but anyway..) yeah, and she come home saying she felt sick and had a headache, and I just took it as a coincidence. Its been happening alot, with sickness, and I jinx alot too. Like the other week (I was in Tenerife) and I thought, oh, it would be a nightmare if my sister got a cough on holiday.. she did, a cough and a cold (mild flu) and when she goes to bed at night she coughs and coughs until she's nearly sick. Another time, on tuesday, I was in tenerife and I made friends with the staff. I wanted a picture so badly with the man who organizes all the activities, cos he was amazing! I said to my dad that he would probably get ill and I wouldnt get a picture with him! Next day he come to work with the flu, I was upset because I believe I jinxed him. I asked him if he was in the next day (Thursday - I was going home on the Friday)and he said "ofcourse, i'm never off work, don't worry" but I was sad because I knew he wasn't going to be in. Guess what? He wasn't. I was crying. I also get really paranoid, like I think of crashes and serious illnesses. I get really stressed and I'm only 13, even my mum says I'm not as bubbly anymore and i've lost a lot of confidence, I've also gained around half a stone. (Btw, the jinxing stuff started like 2-3 yrs ago). I'm thinking of moving schools because I have like 1-2 that I can trust, and i've lost my best friend i've known for nearly 11 years due to a girl who sorta pulled us away. I'm crying right now. Also, about 10 mins ago, I thought, "hm, I haven't seen any spiders around for a while.." what do I do? Look around on my walls and theres a big one on my ceiling. I'm really scared and worried because I don't want to KNOW the future, i'm bawling my eyes out like a baby, I just want this stuff to end.

Please help me, like can someone help me erase my mind of this stuff, or can someone atleast explain whats happening? People may think this is stupid, but im really worried :'(

"Show me someone who doesn't dream about the future..."?

Whatever this is, it is not Shakespeare - the language is a dead giveaway.

In practice, there is so much Shakespeare on the 'net that any genuine quote will pull up pages and pages of the exact source. This does not. It isn't even a "near miss"

The format "show me someone who [whatever] and I'll show you someone who [whatever]" is not uncommon. For example "“You show me someone who can't understand people and I'll show you someone who has built up a false image of himself.” Asimov " Foundation's Edge" (1982)

It is also used to much misquote. For example "“Show me a young Conservative and I'll show you someone with no heart. Show me an old Liberal and I'll show you someone with no brains.” is attributed to Winston Churchill. Not only did he not say this but it is actually a rephrasing of the several earlier sayings by other people.

Why is killing animals morally wrong, but killing bugs is not?

Its just what people are conditioned to. It is said that common sense is the accumulation of biases your culture has forced on you by the age you reach fourteen. Consider that the natzi regime would kill not only an insect but a child without hesitation or remorse, where as the jainists of india, to this day, walk around naked (so as to to require killing plants to make clothes) owning only a broom (to gently sweep in front of where thy walk, hence avoiding insects) and eating fruit that has already fallen (so as not to harm a tree).

If you were born into the former culture, you would have no compassion for a dog getting kicked to death, if you were born into the later, steping on a spider would be nothing short of murder.

I have contemeplated deeply, and found no reason to think one life form superior to another. When I see someone step on a spider I do not see it as any better as if he were cutting open a baby or stabing a puppy. I do not rate life on a sliding scale, most people do because of unobseved and uncontemplated biasses (in my optional)

How do you know when you’re in love?

You know you are in love when every time you start to think about the one you love, butterflies start flying in your stomach.

You know you are in love when you fine yourself shopping with that person and you feel like everything is right in the world.

You know you are in love when you can't stop touching that person.

You know you are in love when you feel miserable when you are away from that person.

You know you are in love when you start planning a future in your head.

You know you are in love when can't stop smiling every time you see that person.

I could go on with more examples. For me being in love is wonderful and yet painful. The man I love doesn't know that I do love him. He is my friend and for now that is all he wants because he is about to be deployed. Because I love him I am going to wait. Love is worth any pain and wait.
When you find yourself ignoring your own feelings and focusing on how someone else is feeling your in love. I find myself now looking at maps, tracing the distance between where he is and where I am. I now pray each and every night for him to come back safely to me.
