Does anyone know the food chain for the mesopelagic zone in the ocean?
The mesopelagic zone is sometimes called the "twilight zone" of the ocean. This area is bordered by the photic zone above, and the darkness below. It's in this zone where you start to see bioluminescence on all sorts of animals. From this point on down, food becomes something of a scarcity and some animals migrate up to the surface at night to feed. The rest rely on food that falls down from above, as well as eating each other. Because sometimes the only things to eat may be bigger than the hunter, many animals have developed long sharp teeth, and expandable jaws and stomachs.
I need snow chains. Does anyone know where I can find them?
The parts stores are useless as far as getting chains are concerned. Western states truck stops usually have a good selection of tire chains. Flying-J, Pilot and Petro usually have them in stock. I just purchased a set from: www.tirechain.com/ and I think they have the best selection and best prices available. If you can possibly find a set in your size equipped with cam type adjusters definitely choose cam equipped chains if they are available for your vehicle.
Does anyone know what the chains under a school bus are for?
I guess they are used to avoid eventual sparks which cause the fuel tank to explode (and are due to static electricity) You probably know that electrons may cause sparks when they jump from something that has more electrons to something that has less. These sparks, however small, may cause a fuel tank to explode. It is mostly used in Trucks which carry fuel and gas, but i guess that is why it is used in school bus too. using chains makes the electrons go through it in the earth (street) and avoid sparks.

Does anyone know of a way to individually mark tie-down chains (securing loads on a trailer)?
The new regulations require each tiedown to be attached and secured in a manner that prevents it from becoming loose, unfastening, opening or releasing while the vehicle is in transit. All tiedowns and other components of a cargo securement system used to secure loads on a trailer equipped with rub rails must be located inboard of the rub rails whenever practicable. Also, edge protection must be used whenever a tiedown would be subject to abrasion or cutting at the point where it touches an article of cargo. If we pull the chain of a train, does the driver know it?
Brake in Indian Railways is now compressed air type, When you pull the chain, Brake pipe pressure exhausts which applies the break as well as it give indication outside that particular coach(of chain pulling). So by that indication Driver can know that in which coach chain pulling has been done.On Driver desk, through pressure guage meters, he can see that chain pulling has been done, but from driver desk he can't tell exact location of coach where chain pulling has been done. He need to go and check every coach for it, generally they do it and reset indication also of that coach.
Anyone know where to get a roller chain clutch for a chainsaw???
Which make of chainsaw is the Motor.......use one thats compatible. now for the sprocket. you can adapt one to the clutch, or you could weld a suitable sprockit onto either the clutch or the existing sprocket (my solution). the hp loads wont be to high so this should work. when welding the sprokets together, I suggest a jig that will make them concentric...you dont want an off center sproket. good luck
