Do itunes ipod touch updates cost money?
I just updated my ipod touch (i think it's 4th generation...or 3rd) to the new update for 5.0.1 and i was wondering if it costed money. I was getting really worried and i swear i'm gonna cry. I need to know if it costs any money to update it. It restored my ipod and asked if i wanted icloud i said no. It set up email on my ipod? which i don't want/need... and it added apps to it.. PLEASE HELP! i need to know this! it started happening and i couldn't stop it so i had to keep going. please help...

How do I update an Ipod touch without losing my apps?
I remember this from when I upgraded to iOS5 last year. First, go into iTunes and see what apps, etc are backuped up on your computer. Make sure to enable backing up onto your computer, if that is possible (I didn't have to change any settings in order for this to work, but I may have changed settings prior to this)When I installed iOS5, at first my iPod had no data on it. Then it took about 2 hours for all the apps, music, etc to be re-loaded onto the device from the backup. This happened automatically, without my having to do anything. So, in summary, yes installing iOS5 deleted all the data on my device, but then it re-populated my device with all the data I had previously. I don't remember if I had to redo settings on any apps.
Why doesn t snapchat update "Lenses" work on my 5th gen iPod touch?
I updated snapchat, saw it didn t work, reinstalled the app, turned off my iPod, restarted it...I tried everything. And I know I m not doing something wrong, it just doesn t work. I ve read that if you ve got android and your software is older (kitkat or jellybean) the update might not work, this seems obvious. But the iPod 5 uses the same software as iPhone 5 and newer. Does anyone know why it doesn t work on certain devices and it does on others? Is this something snapchat will be able to fix in the future?

YEs i believe that when you activate it.. its the firmware that it downloads that costs money... they could cost from 5-10 dollars... next time there is a software update... just check it in apple store to see how much it costs!
