Does Anyone Know Where I Can Find This Shirt Accidently Ruined The One I Have.

Have you ever accidentally ruined something that belonged to someone else? How did they react?

When I was doing home care in a very exclusive area Encino, Ca. I was the Friday,Sat,Sun person. There was a big pile of ironing in the care givers room. Ironing was not my responsibility but I thought I would help the other girl. Put the shirt on the ironing board placed the iron on it, wow a big burnt spot /hole appeared. For about 2 minutes all I could do was look at the shirt. Finally told patients daughter in law what I had did to her husband's shirt. Told her to take the price of the shirt out of my check. She laughed and said this is the 33rd shirt that someone ironed and the shirt was 120. Some dollars. I swallowed real hard. To me shirt looked like it came from kmart on the blue light special. I know it was not from there, but just saying. Sunday I reminded her to take the money out of my check. She said no way and paid me my full amount.

I accidentally put one of my bras in the dryer. Is it ruined?

Is there any way to fix a silk shirt that I accidentally put in the dryer?

Sorry, but your silk shirt is forever ruined, once you put silk in the dryer, it is destroyed. At least you learned a good lesson for the next time you have a silk shirt, that needs to be cleaned. Next time send your silk out to be dry cleaned professionally. that way, you can have it in good condition for years.

How do I remove vinyl printing from a new shirt?

There are two things that can be used to remove heat transfer vinyl (HTV) from fabric: heat and solvents.(Warning: solvents and high heat may damage your garment.)First, you'll want to heat your shirt to loosen the heat transfer vinyl. You can use a hair dryer/heat gun, an iron, or even just toss the clothing in the dryer if you don't have either of those. If using an iron, place a piece of wax paper or freezer paper over the vinyl. It works best to use focused heat, and work one section at a time.Heat a small area for 5 seconds at a time, checking to see if the vinyl is getting loose. It helps to stretch and pull at the shirt a bit to loosen the vinyl.Try to remove the errant pieces of vinyl by scraping them with a blade, or pulling them up with tweezers, like so:(Image from this blog post, which has some more tips for fixing HTV mistakes.)If the heat alone isn't enough, or you have some adhesive remaining on your shirt, you can try solvents to remove the rest. I like Goo Gone, but you can also try acetone (nail polish remover) or rubbing alcohol.Spray or dab the solvent onto the back side of the transfer (if the back is accessible), and then continue with heating and loosening the vinyl, to remove it with scraping or pulling.I found some great instructions and videos on how to do this here.If you have adhesive still on your shirt, apply the solvent directly to that area and rub gently with a paper towel or cloth.Removing HTV works best when done within a day or two of its application. It will not work as well on something that was made a month, or even years, ago.If you used any solvent, it's a very good idea to wash the garment before trying to reapply any HTV.Good luck!

I have recently purchased an Old Navy shirt for myself, and I accidentally bought the wrong size shirt.?

Well before you ruin the shirt take it back. If they have more in stock you can just exchange it. If you have the reciept still you can get your money back. If not they can enter the code on the tag and you will get store credit for how much they are selling the shirt for now.

I worked there for over a year.

What do I do if I accidentally scratched my tattoo?

Once more I am shocked at some of the answers that I see from people who have no clue what they are talking about but enjoy giving advice.
This happened to me once before, so relax, because obviously there is nothing you can do to fix the scab. It was an accident, so whats done is done. I did the same thing with a thigh tattoo that I accidently ripped half the scab off when I got up from my kitchen table. Wowza! Did it hurt. Unfortunately, I was left with a small, but very noticeable to me, scar. This could happen to you, but it isn't a given. You haven't ruined anything and it wont become infected simply because part of the scab came off.
Don't put rubbing alcohol on it or peroxide or neosporin. Just keep it clean the normal way listed on your care sheet the artist gave you. Warm water, gentle antibacterial soap and your hand only. Just lightly wash it, pat it dry with a soft, clean towel to make sure the rest of the scab stays put, then apply a thin coat of ointment, preferrably A&D, but you can use whatever your artist suggested, no cocoa butter or lotion just yet. After 24 hours of very thin coats of A&D three to five times a day, as needed, you can switch over to lubriderm, or an unscented white lotion of your choice, but I prefer lubriderm. Use the lotion the same as the ointment, thinly three to five times a day. I assume you've been using ointment for the first four days already.
Good luck, I hope you don't get a scar or lose ink. But, if it happened then notify your artist and schedule a touch up three weeks from the day you find out to be sure that your skin is mucho healed and ready for some more needle action.
