Does Anyone Miss Old Xbox

I miss my Xbox 360 so much?

I sold my xbox 360 a few months ago to get some extra money to buy a car. Before I left xbox, I had like a little xbox live party with my closest friends on there and counted down till I deleted my account on the spot. Man when I deleted my account, my heart sank to the bottom of my chest. I remember the good times on GTA and guitar hero and the feeling of unlocking new acheivements and stuff.I was pulling all nighters every week, it was awesome. Those were some of the best times of my gaming life. I just miss all those good times and wish they'd come back. Anybody else out ther feelin me?

Does anybody else miss PlayStation 2 and Original Xbox?

Sure, but I actually just gotten the PS2 console and original Xbox at a thrift store for $50 in total just a few days ago and both seems to work. Now I'm gonna play the hell out of both of them lol

Btw many of the the PS2 games are available through the PSN or on a remastered disc version.

I sure love those eras though. Back then, you don't need to worry about things like DLC, add ons, or having to wait for the game to install a portion of the game into the hard drive lol It gets sort of ridiculous sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I love games Dead Island and Red Dead Redemption (Original and Undead Nightmares), and so forth and while those games are much better at free roaming due to the consoles being more capable to do that, but meh, nowadays, it seems like game developers want things to look more pretty and not focus enough on gameplay. :(

Does anyone miss the good old days playing Grand Theft Auto IV back in the day when it was very popular? Would you like to play the game again someday?

The good old days of GTA4?! HA HA HA HA! I guess you're not that old, are you? Usually, the good ol days are considered at least the PS2 era if not way earlier (to me, it's the Atari 2600 and NES era). From my perspective GTA4 and GTA5 aren't that different. So as far as being wistful of those lost days, I'm just not seeing it. But hey, that's nostalgia for you. GTA4 was a good game and I much prefer Nico over any of the GTA5 protagonists, but if I want to play it again, it's just as simple as popping the disc in my Xbox.

Are the Halo series only for Xbox?

I'm just wondering if it's on any PlayStation(s) because when I try to find one to compare prices, it doesn't show up for PS. I guess Halo 5 was published by Microsoft therefore it would make sense for it to be an Xbox exclusive. I don't really care if PlayStation is cheaper anyway because nothing is going to make me buy the stupid s**t the call a gaming console aka the PlayStation much less I don't even know why it matters, maybe because I recently got in a fight over PlayStation vs Xbox.

Am I too old to play on the Xbox?

Are you ever too old to do something fun? I don't think so. I can think of many different things that could keep you from playing Xbox, but age isn't one of them.As of this post, I'm 43, I have a son that is 18, and a father that is 70. A few times a week we get together online to play the game Destiny as a fire team of three. My father lives on the West Coast and we're in the Midwest and it’s the best way we keep in touch. The best part is that my dad holds his own when playing PVP (player versus player) against other players around the country and can complete the bounties that require him to have the highest score of the match.I'm not saying he's a Major League Gamer by any stretch, but he has a blast playing. It’also hilarious to hear him talk about “"greasing the tennis balls on his walker” when we have to do something quickly like beating a timed event (even though I know he doesn't have a walker). He takes his age with a grain of salt.I think it may be an advantage to be older, he doesn't let losing get him down, he's not too concerned about his K/D spread, and subsequently, I think he has more fun because of it. Yeah, my 18 year old son can run circles around us most of the time, but having three generations playing together is something I wouldn't miss for anything.

My 8 year old son is an overall good kid. He does have a video game addiction, though, and now wants an Xbox. Should I buy it for him?

Unfortunately today's culture is immersed in video games. It's not only kids who are totally addicted to electronics. Look at adults around you. Almost everyone is either on their phone or holding their phone. It's a sickness. But I can tell you what Ive done to curb the electronics bug and maybe it'll help. It starts with me. When I'm around my son I stay off my phone as much as possible. I simply put down my phone and show him that human interaction is best. As for games I limit it. I tell my 8 yr old that he can play for 30 minutes and then we're going to go outside or simply do something else. We also play certain games together. I find that puzzle based games are good because they make your mind think. Unfortunately the tv and Xbox and PlayStation have become the modern babysitter. They are the opiate of the masses. You put a child infront of that and they are quiet and stay out of your way for hours but your comfort comes at a price. One simply has to ask oneself, do I want to be a hands on parent or let the Xbox do it for me? In the end you both miss out on each other and one day both child and adult look up and say, where did the years go?

Will arcades be missed?

Well for the older generations , obviously yes. It is because we pretty much grew up playing games in the arcade. It was simply because at that time home video game consoles were too expensive to have one . So instead of buying one, most people just went to the arcade and have some good times playing with it. I remember when I was in primary school , whenever I went out with my family, I always ask my parents to bring me to the arcade even for a short time. Playing Tekken 2, Initial D, Time Crisis was really fun back then at the arcade. You kinda feel motivated to get good at a game just because you simply have limited lives . For the younger generations today, they grew up in an era where smartphones and consoles are pretty cheap . You can get an Xbox 360 or PS3 at just 60$ which is pretty cheap as both have massive games library.
