Does Arabs And Jews Have A Common Ancestor

How common is it for Jews to have Blue Eyes?

Most Jews I've seen have brown eyes. I have a Jewish girlfriend though and she has really cool baby blue eyes that are a nice contrast with her dark brown curly hair.

Are Moslems and Jews from common ancestors?

Unlike Judaism, Islam and Christianity are proselytizing religions. They aspire to convert people all over the world to their religion, and believe that those who do not adopt their faith are damned. Islam was invented in Arabia, and is based upon bits and pieces of Jewish and Christian theology. It claims to have been passed along via Abraham’s son Ishmael, but there is no reason to believe that claim has any basis beyond the desire to create a link between it and the two more mature religions.Since Judaism came into existence approximately two thousand years prior to Islam it is not logical to ask if Jews and Moslems have a common ancestry. It is reasonable to assume that some Jews who lived under Islamic rule adopted the religion of their environment. It is less likely that many Moslems converted to Judaism, but it is not unheard of. In most cases if there is a combination it would be due to intermarriage. But since Islam originated in and spread from Arabia and Judaism didn't, I see no reason to assume any inherent connection between the adherents of the two religions.

Does the Blood of Abraham flow through the Jews & Arabs only to this day?

Actually the human gene pool is so small that within the past fifty-generations the combinations of cross breeding have left every man, woman, and child on earth related to each other. Fifty generations is about 2000 years. Given the time that Abraham lived his blood flows through your's and my vanes too. If fact WE are related. Our most distant relative is related to us by a common ancestor not more than 2000 years past, and MOST of us are much more closely related than that.

Both the Jews and the Arabs trace their roots to him.

Are Jews and Arabs the same?

No. Most Jews belong to one of three groups. There are Ashkenazi Jews, whose ancestors lived in Western and Eastern Europe. There are Sephardic Jews, whose ancestors lived in mostly North Africa and Turkey but whose ancestors were expelled from Spain and Portugal. There are Mizrahi Jews, who lived in other Middle Eastern countries like Iraq and Iran.Ashkenazi Jews are roughly half Levantine and half European genetically. Their Levantine ancestry is similar to the Levantine ancestry in Lebanese and Syrian people. The majority of their European ancestry comes from Southern Europe but they have some extra ancestry from local Western and Eastern Europeans.Sephardic Jews are very similar to Ashkenazi Jews but instead of Western and Eastern European ancestry they have North African and Iberian.Mizrahi Jews are mostly Middle Eastern. I am not sure about what proportion of their Middle Eastern ancestry is Levantine.Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews are genetically similar to non-Jews from Southern Europe like Sicilians. Mizrahi Jews are genetically similar to non-Jews from the Middle East. Despite those differences in overall ancestry, all of these Jewish groups and Arabs share a Middle Eastern paternal origin.

Did Mohammed the founder of Islam have any Jewish ancestors?

If you think about it, the Jewish line and the Arab line both originated from the loins of Abraham AH.Ignoring whether Ishmael or Isaac was the first son or the legitimate son of Abraham, the fact is that both the Jewish and Arab genealogy began with Abraham.Isaac whom Abraham begat….yes, I did say begat through Sarah, his wife, led to the Jewish people.Ishmael whom Abraham begat through his servant/concubine/slave girl (however one wished to deem her) led to the Arab genealogy.Since Abraham was Isaac's father, it means that he carried half of Abraham's genes, so the Jewish people have that as their base genetics together with Sarah's genetics.Since Abraham was Ishmael's father, it means that he carried half of Abraham's genes, so the Arab people have that as their base genetics together with Hagar's genetics. Were any of the genes inherited from Abraham also among the genes inherited by Ishmael? It is possible that both Isaac and Ishmael carried common genetic material from Abraham. Therefore is it possible that Muhammad inherited and carried genetic material in his own genetic pool that was common among the genetic material in Isaac.Ergo, if Abraham was the common ancestor of the Jewish people, and of the Muslim people, then he, Abraham, can be considered the root Jewish ancestor and the root Arab ancestor, thus the Jewish people have Arab chromosomes and vice versa. Therefore Muhammad's Jewish ancestry lies in Abraham AH.

What's the difference between Arabs and Jews as a race and are they the same people?

There are 3 kind of Arabs.First, the Real Arabs. They are Arab People of Yemen and other Arabian Peninsula. These people were already exist longer before Patriach Abraham came. These people were as ancient as Babylonian, Assyrian, Akkadian and others. They are all Semites.Second, the Arabized Semite. They are descendant of Babylonian, Assyrian, Ancient Egyptian, Ancient Libyan etc which start to speak Arab and adopt Arab culture since 7th century with the rise of Islam.Third, Quraysh Tribe of Arab. This is the tribe of Prophet Muhammad. They are descendant of Patriach Abraham through his son Ismael who marry local Arab in the town which will be called Mecca. Included in Quraish Tribe is Muhammad descendant like currently Kings of Jordan and Kings of Morocco. So, the third one is the closest to the Jews. Part of the second one, the Levantine Arabs, is also closed to the Jews. They are the the cousins of the Jews. The Levantine Arabs (Palestinian, Syrian and Lebanese) actually closer to the Jews than to Yemen Arab etc which is the Original Arabs. The original or real Arab like Yemen are not so close to the Jews, but they are both Semite. So however they are still related.

Are all Arabs and Jews really descended from a single person, Abraham? Which nation/ethnicity did Abraham belong to?

Here is a map Map of the southern Levant, c.830s BCE:From Wikipedia. As you can see, the area contained multiple people, including the Israel and Judea (ancient Hebrews), Moab, Edom, Ammon, Arubu tribes, and more. These peoples were of a common stock, and shared many aspect of cloture, language, and religion. It was obvious to people living at that time that they related to each other, as opposed to other nations that were not, such as Egyptians, Hittites, and Assyrians.Like other nations all over the world, these people had legends about ancestral figures (which may, or may not have been based on real people). If they were related to their neighbors, so then must their ancestors have been. Thus a myth of a shared family tree must have evolved. There were probably also political motivations for such legends: the royal family of Edom may have claim supremacy over the Hebrews by presenting their ancestor Esau as the elder brother to Jacob. The Hebrews responded with a story of how Jacob tricked Esau out of his inheritance and supremacy.Whether or not a person called Abraham actually existed we will probably never know. Abraham's name is apparently very ancient, as the tradition found in Genesis no longer understands its original meaning - probably "Father is exalted" - an unlikely name for an actual individual.

Is it true that the Jews, Christians and Muslims have a common ancestor as in Abraham?

YES, THEY ARE COUSIN TO EACH OTHER. ABRAHAM HAS TWO SONS ISHMAEL AND ISHAQ, FROM ISHMAEL WE GET MOHAMMAD, AND FROM ISSAC WE GET JESUS. THEY ALL PREACHED THE SAME MESSAGE TO BELIEVE IN ONE GOD.

Are Yemenite Jews Arabs who abide to Jewish customs?

Yemenite Jews are Jews from an Arabic country. The Yemenite Jewish community very probably existed before Yemen and certainly before Islam. Usually, citizens of a country speak it's language. Many Yemenite Jews still speak Arabic. They are Jews who abide by Jewish Law but have many Arab customs from living in an Arab country for so many generations.

Here's some interesting info on their Jewishness.

'DNA testing between Yemenite Jews and various other of the world's Jewish communities shows a common link, with most communities sharing similar paternal genetic profiles. Furthermore, the Y-chromosome signatures of the Yemenite Jews are also similar to those of other Semitic populations.[33]

Despite their long-term residence in different countries and isolation from one another, most Jewish populations were not significantly different from one another at the genetic level. The results support the hypothesis that the paternal gene pools of Jewish communities from Europe, North Africa and the Middle East descended from a common Middle Eastern ancestral population, and suggest that most Jewish communities have remained relatively isolated from neighboring non-Jewish communities during and after the Diaspora.[34] "

Why do people make a big difference between Arabs and Jews if they share blood?

If I understand correctly, the question states that Arabs and Jews are genetically related, it asks why (given that relationship) the differences between them are portrayed with such emphasis, and finally it asks specifically whether the emphasis is due to a media effort to hide the relationship. My opinion-- and it's only my opinion, I don't know anything about media conspiracies or such-- is that on the one hand it would be great if everyone who's genetically similar got along.  In fact, everyone in the world is somewhat genetically similar and it would be great if we all got along.  But on the other hand, the similarity has never stopped conflicts from popping up.  In America, where I grew up, there were cases of brothers fighting on opposite sides of the Civil War.  In European history we read about bitter battles inside royal families.  In the Bible, Solomon's sons split the kingdom in two rather than come to an accommodation in a single regime.  So even if it were widely publicized that Arabs and Jews are genetically similar, I doubt the political effects would be dramatic.
