Mainly there are three types of guitar 1. Steel String (Acoustic)2. Nylon String (Acoustic aka Spanish guitar)3. Electric GuitarAs a beginner DON'T go for Electric guitar.Nylon guitar are easy in playing, soft strings will help you in learning very easily. It has broader fret board which makes it difficult for playing Bar chords (next to beginner). Cort vs Fender vs Washburn or other Acoustic Guitar To Buy?
None of those are particularly great brands for acoustic guitars. If I had to recommend one of the ones you listed, I'd suggest going with the used Cort in your last link. Cort guitars are decent for the money and that's a good deal for that particular guitar with the included hard shell case. I'd really suggest you look at some Yamaha guitars though. They really do make quality instruments and their acoustic guitars are quite nice for the money. I have several students who play the FG700S (about $199 US) and they are a great sounding solid top guitar for that price. The ones you're looking include the cutaway and electronics, but I've played some very nice Yamaha acoustic electric guitars in the $500 range as well. http://www.allansbillyhyde.com.au/prod/F... I've never played a Cort but I've played Fender acoustics and just hate the tone and feel of them. Washburn is OK, but not my favorite. Yamaha & Takamine would top my list at that price point. If I lived in Australia I'd also be very interested in playing some Cole Clark and Maton guitars. They will cost more than the ones you listed, but they're nice guitars for the money and are probably cheaper in Australia than they are here in the US.

The Woodstock Vintage, Jasmine F35, or the Fender FA100 can all be sourced from around that price.If you can stretch your budget I’d recommend something like the Cordoba C5 (nylon string, a bit softer on the fingers), or Epiphone DA100 (steel string, a bit brighter sounding)If your really serious about wanting to learn, dont buy a crap guitar. If you can, go to a store and have a look.
