Can eating less make you lose weight?

These questions are so mundane....there is only one way to lose weight, burn more calories than you take in, that's it, no secret, nothing special, and you don't even have to eat healthy, it has nothing to do with nutrients but calories. There are 3500 calories in a pound of fat, so you have to burn that many calories more than what you eat just to lose one pound ( 3500 calories is roughly equivalent to walking 35 miles)

if you eat 2000 calories a day and want to lose a half pound of fat a day then you need to burn 3750 calories a day.

Do eating less carbs really help you lose weight?

You'd lose weight either way because the bottom line is the calories. However, eating a low carb diet can throw the body into a condition called ketosis, in which the body can begin to use its fat reserves more quickly and in extreme cases can begin to absorb nutrients from its own muscle mass in an attempt to compensate for the lack of carbs in the diet. I've tried it both ways, and I found that a low carb diet can help you lose weight more quickly but you really won't lose much more weight in the long run than you would if you simply cut your caloric intake.

Eating healthy vs. eating less calories??

Who will develop fat: the person who eats say, one bowl of sugary cereal for breakfast/an apple/pizza lunch/nacho snacks/hamburger dinner (w/ sugar, fat, high fructose corn syrup, etc), or the person who eats more calories of say oatmeal, cheerios, apples, lean meat, and healthy carbs?

Basically, will you get fat eating "processed" foods or healthy foods, even if you eat a smaller amount of processed foods?
