Does Having A Snorkel On Your Jeep Hinder Performance At All

Can I keep my automobile key fob locked in car without worrying about someone unlocking the door because the key fob is nearby?

Yes. As long as it detects the 2nd fob nearby it will lock; and unless you unlock it via fob you have to be within arms reach with the 2nd to unlock it so theft is unlikely. It will auto unlock if just one fob is detected to prevent locking yourself out, but otherwise yes. Just know if you accidently unlock your car, and they know, your car is gone. Also, kinda unrelated side note…once your car is started, it stays running, even without the fob present. Please do not leave your car running to run into somewhere and think it's safe because you have your keys.

Can water get into a car engine through the exhaust pipe?

Yes, but not always!Since the exhaust gases are flowing outwards through the tail pipe, Water won't enter into it, even if water get inside the exhaust pipe [silencer] water won't reach the engine since it's mounted far too high for the water to reach. But if the driver suddenly make any changes in the engine speed[while shifting gear or slowing down], water can get sucked into the engine as a result of the back pressure created in the exhaust pipe due to the sudden change in engine speed. So if you happen to drive through a water logged roads, then shift to the lower gear so that engine will run in higher speed and as result more exhaust pressure is produced, which will prevent water from entering the pipe. Maintain a good engine speed, and never change gears or apply clutch until you pass the water logged areaOnce you passes the water logged areas, make sure all the electricals and breaks are working just fine, and continue your drive.. !!

What problems can occur from a disconnected coolant overflow hose?

In order to answer the question, I have to describe how the cooling system functions. The radiator cap actually increases the boiling point of your coolant by as much as 45 F. Increasing the pressure on a liquid increases the temperature at which it boils. This is done to prevent the water in the coolant from turning to steam bubbles which greatly reduces cooling system effectiveness. The cap acts as a pressure release valve, most vehicles it is around 15 psi. When the coolant in your radiator heats up, it expands, causing the pressure to build up. The cap has a pressure relief valve that allows pressure to escape if it exceeds the 15 psi limit.  Once this pressure relief valve opens, it allows coolant to escape from the cooling system into the overflow bottle tube exiting the bottom of the overflow tank. This is designed to keep air out of the system. When the radiator cools , a vacuum is created that pulls open another spring loaded valve, sucking coolant back in from the bottom of the overflow tank to replace the coolant that was expelled when it reached the maximum temperature. If this overflow tube is disconnected, there is a possibility due to this design , that the cooling system could become low causing your vehicle to overheat.

Can I use glue to seal a cracked air intake hose?

Sure. Use some brake cleaner to clean off the area, then apply a generous amount of silicone sealer, the goopy clear or black stuff. That will last for years. In the meanwhile start saving your money to order a new rubber boot. Just kidding, it’s probably no more than $35.That little tube is for sampling the intake air or recycling crankcase fumes. It’s after the air filter so the crack will let in a little bit of dust, and that’s not a good thing, do cover up the crack.
