Does He Have An Alcohol Problem

If you drink 4+ beers a night, does that make you an alcoholic?

I’m gonna share a true story with you.John had started working at a new company. All his coworkers had lunch at the bar and grill across the street. They’d start at the bar with a drink or 2 then move to a table to eat and drink one more for the road.John wasn’t a drinker. He was having problems making friends at his new job so he met them in the bar at lunch for a drink. The drink relaxed him. He felt comfortable and was able to join in on the conversations and he made friends. At lunch everyday he’d have the one drink, then eat lunch. Seldom did he have a second drink. At home and with his close personal friends he didn’t drink. He didn’t care for alcohol.Thirty years later, John retires. By the end of his first week of retirement he gets ill. He feels terrible. By the time his wife gets him to emergency he’s not responsive. He undergoes all kinds of test. Finally the doctor asks his wife about his drinking. She says he doesn’t. The doctor told her, yes he does. He is suffering from alcohol withdrawals. John was an alcoholic. His body had become dependent on alcohol. That one drink at lunch, 5 days a week, that John didn’t like had made him dependent to alcohol. John recovered from his withdrawals and never drank again. He did admit that Monday mornings on his way to work he would be anxious for lunch. That anxious feeling was for that drink.Alcohol withdrawals can be fatal. Alcohol can ruin a person, their marriage, the family and it can kill.Be smart. Don’t start.

Do Arabs ever secretly drink alcohol? Do they ever have a problem with heavy drugs?

you asked in Saudi Arabia section so I will answer for both arab and Saudis:

some arab do drink openly and some secretly, and arab countries have some rules against drinking of its citizens but they usually can get around them.

Saudis and gulf countries are different story, drinking alcohol is against the culture which everyone is raised to respect, so it is not only a matter of law or religion, thus if anyone drinks he/she will be rejected by the people, however many do.

I think Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are the only countries which do not allow alcohol in the country, other countries allow it in and have rules to govern the drinking, many don't allow citizens to drink

Is it true that George VI had a serious alcohol problem in his youth?

A difficult question, dear girl. There is a reference to a story circulating at the time of His death that He was consuming a bottle of brandy a day. Also, that He took up smoking heavily during His naval service. So perhaps He did indeed like to have a hearty drink and smoke during His youthful days which continued into later life. I'll wager there would be endless reference to this if He did have a serious alcohol problem, but as there is not, I think the logical conclusion is that no, He did not have a serious alcohol problem in His youth.

Is it true that the Undertaker used to have drug and alcohol problems back in the early 1990's?

I read about it on obsessedwithwrestling.com but there are so many conflicting details about his life that I'm not sure what to believe anymore. Just out of curiousity...

Why does he get aggressive when drinking alcohol?

Alcohol reduces inhibitions and the more you drink the more loose you get. If he starts out angry and agressivve before drinking, it will just make him more apt to act out and get mean when he is drinking. Best thing -- shouldn't drink. If not possible, should drink when already aggrevated. Also, some spirits affect people in different ways -- some are fine on vodka, but gin makes them mean, some fine on gin, but bourbon makes mean. Need to identify.

Alcohol intolerance?

My husband has never been a heavy drinker, but can typically drink 10-15 beers while on vacation or whatever the case and still act completely normal. The past year, he has begun having serious issues with alcohol. If he even drinks one beer, about 5 hours later he is vomiting, diarrhea and a RAPID heartrate. So much so, he gets scared and he is just not that type. He is 32 years old and it is just so ALL OF A SUDDEN. He can t drink anything. Wine..liquor... beer. Nothing. He is fine while drinking, but the following hours in the middle of the night are brutal for him. Just brutal. No alcohol, completely fine. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this??

Is it true that Ronaldinho struggled with alcoholism?

I don't know specifically about Ronaldinho, but I think most people would probably be surprised by the amount that professional soccer players drink, especially overseas. While I was playing professionally several years ago, it was relatively common for players to drink (and smoke) the night before games. I wouldn't say everybody did it, but a significant percentage. Further back in history, it was even more common. It seems weird, but it does happen. Hope this helps.

Why is the EU okay with Jean-Claude Juncker, probably alcoholic, as the president of the European Commission?

As a true Luxembourger, he drinks and smokes, and probably a bit more than is compatible with perfect health, but if he really was an alcoholic I don’t suppose 25 national governments would have appointed him in his present job, nor would the European Parliament have confirmed him. I have lived in Luxembourg for the last 28 years, and during most of that time he was prime minister, I have also worked for the European Commission while he was at the head of it, and if Juncker really had a serious alcohol problem I believe I would have heard about it.That’s the kind of nasty rumour British tabloids specialize in. IIRC the Daily Mail at one point suggested that he was some sort of Nazi because his father-in-law had an official position in occupied Luxembourg during WWII and did not resign in protest.I also remember the Daily Express (I think it was) calling him “the most dangerous man in Europe”. Then Martin Selmayr, his chief of staff, was “the most dangerous man in Europe”. Then Barnier was “the most dangerous man in Europe”.Yawn.Anyway, alcoholic or not, he seems to be one of the very few people who know how to handle Donald Trump.Juncker meeting Schwarzenegger recently:

I caught my son drinking alcohol at home in is room this is not the first time what should i do he's 19 yrs ol

Don't blow it out of proportion. Personally, wouldn't you rather have him drinking at home vs. out with his friends, or god forbid behind the wheel of a car? 19 year old boys drink - that is just a fact of life.

If what you are saying is that you think your son has a problem - then that is a different story. You need to intervene and get him help and make sure he get the help he needs before it escalates into something that is out of control.

Am I an alcoholic if I drink once a week, but too much sometimes?

Let's say a guy drinks only once a year, June 15th. But he wakes up in jail, after a blackout, and spends the next few days apologizing for terrible behavior, he loses a job, several thousand dollars in cash, his fiance, and other friends because of what he did. He stops drinking, because it's now June 16th.He puts his life in order, somewhere around October or November and he has a new job. He seems to be rebuilding his reputation, his relationships, his fortune and getting rid of any damage to his health. You are this guy's long-time friend.By spring, he couldn't be happier. He's healthy, happy, worry free, he's got hot girlfriend and money in the bank.Suddenly, it's June 14th and he says, "Will you be going drinking, with me, tomorrow?" What would you say to him?For me, there was and is no magic number of pints/gallons consumed. No hours or days drunk which suddenly "make me" an alcoholic. What there was (and is for me today) is two things:Results vs Attitude. How many problems arose because of my drinking and what was my attitude about it? I'm a guy who drank, had a bunch of problems, and my attitude was to drink different brands, or on different days, or with different people, or alone at home. I did everything about the problems caused by drinking except to stop drinking. It never dawned on me to JUST STOP - until I did, 33+ years ago. I have never had to worry about my drinking a minute since.
