hey there!! so my crush acts really weird around me. on some days, he talks to me and is super nice and jokey with me. but then later on he acts quiet around me, and other people. i try to talk to him, and he responds, but he mumbles and doesn't look at me. and then sometimes i come up to talk to him alone, he acts quiet with me. like yesterday, he was at his desk and i stood right next to him and said, "hi". and there was no response. and so i just stood there like an idiot in front of him. he eventually talked to me when i asked him a question, but it was just weird. and he always glances at me when he is always around me. it's mostly just serious stares and smirks. he never smiles at me. so why is it that on some days he acts like he likes me but then later acts quiet with me? he's loud around other girls but not with me. i don't get it, does he not like me or something? so what should i do?? he's coming tomorrow and i don't know if i should talk to him. pls help. i am sorry for this being long. thanks!

He is trying to catch your attention more so that you don't get distracted to anyone else! He is kind of nervous and excited not knowing what to do when you are around, hence the thoughtless act turns out to be weird! Good luck, he loves you!

My guy friend and I are pretty close, but lately he has been acting...different. He has been flirting and blushing, and I kinda have this gut feeling he likes me (or just feels suddenly weird around me). Well, 4 days ago, he flirted a LOT, and walked w/ me to my car, and then we talked for 2 hours after we got home. I flirted a bit too. I thought it was a huge step up. Then he didn't contact me for 4 days (except brief texts for hw). Today, 4 days later, I kept catching him stare at me, and he would just hold the stare doing nothing more. I would try to keep it till he said hi, but he didn't, so I just turned away. It was so odd! He didn't even smile...just intense staring. What the heck is wrong with him!? He can't say hi or anything after such a crazy step up a few days ago? He just looks at me as though I'm a stranger and keeps staring? What does that mean?!?! Is he mad at me? I don't think I did anything wrong! What did I do? Does he suddenly not like me? Or maybe he's stressed...

Yes!!! He could not want to mess up the friendship. But be careful…Does he get mad (make comments under his breath, get puppy dog eyes, etc ) if u talk about a guy u like?? If yes, he totally likes u n is scared or he is testing the waters to gage how much if at all the level of feelings u feel for him! Maybe he doesnt want to give mixed signals.. or he just might be timid n too scared of rejection or messing up you're friendship!PAY attention to the way he acts in social situations with other females..or with u and other males that flirt, make effort to talk to u,. U will b able to tell if he likes u by his reaction. Does he get irritated. Ask u a butch of questions pertained to what the guy wanted,ex: “Did u think he was attractive?” etc etc..

He sounds very immature.One can't make a definitive judgement on whether he likes you or not. I'd say there is a 70% chance he has some feeling or infactuation for you. If this is the case then there is probably something that stops him talking to you like a normal person and potentially asking you out. Maybe he's shy or thinks he has no chance. Perhaps he's scared of rejection and embarassment. If this is in a school environment and it sounds like it, I will admit I was too scared of the embarassment that came with rejection to ask a lot of girls out when I was that age.The remaining 30% is that the guy is a douche with a poor sense of humor.If if is really bothering you and you can't ignore it then I would have a conversation with him next time you see him alone. Make it a regular, friendly conversation and just drop in there at some point that he doesn't need to call your name over and over. Be light hearted about it, maybe make it a bit of a joke. If it doesn't seem like he's getting the hint then perhaps keep joking about it and tell him it's a little weird. If you like the guy, you're going to have to make the first move. Again, talk to him when he's alone. Start of slow and just have friendly conversations. If it all goes well then after a few weeks of talking ask him to hang out on the weekend or see a movie. Just remember, if he likes you and not just a douche, he'll be extremely anxious so you'll have to be gentle.
