Does It Drive U Crazy When U Can Only Remember One Line Of A Song And Its Going Thru Yr Head Over

What is name of this song and who sings it?

All the Things She Said- t.A.t.U.

All the things she said
All the things she said
Running through my head
All the things she said
All the things she said
Running through my head
This is not enough

I'm in serious sh**, I feel totally lost
If I'm asking for help it's only because
Being with you has opened my eyes
Could I ever believe such a perfect surprise?

I keep asking myself, wondering how
I keep closing my eyes but I can't block you out
Wanna fly to a place where it's just you and me
Nobody else so we can be free

All the things she said
All the things she said
Running through my head
All the things she said
All the things she said
Running through my head
This is not enough
This is not enough

All the things she said
All the things she said

And I'm all mixed up, feeling cornered and rushed
They say it's my fault but I want her so much
Wanna fly her away where the sun and rain
Come in over my face, wash away all the shame
When they stop and stare - don't worry me
'Cause I'm feeling for her what she's feeling for me
I can try to pretend, I can try to forget
But it's driving me mad, going out of my head

Mother looking at me
Tell me what do you see?
Yes, I've lost my mind

Daddy looking at me
Will I ever be free?
Have I crossed the line?

I always hear music in my head. What's wrong with me?

Well, it sounds like cancer of your Musicaladalamus (the organ in your brain that enjoys and interprets music). You should get it checked immediately!Ok…still reading, and not in your car on the way to your doctor? Good. That was a joke. There’s nothing wrong with you. This happens to everyone. Germans call it an Ohrwurm (Earworm). Americans just say we’ve got a song stuck in our head. Just sing along. One explanation for the ‘Earworm’ phenomenon, suggests that we get songs stuck in our heads for which we don’t know all of the lyrics. It’s the lack of closure, that keeps the song stuck in our heads. So, like, you know the first verse, and 3 lines of the chorus, but you can’t remember any more of the chorus or the 2nd verse. So your brain thinks, ‘Ok, well, maybe if I start over at the point where I know the words and the tune, I’ll remember the rest.’ Because, subconsciously, your brain wants to hear the song through til the end. So it keeps playing, over and over. This can go on for days. The next time it happens, try reading the lyrics and letting the song play to the end in your head…or listen to the actual song, but to the very end. This helps some people get a song out of their head.

How do you get a song un-stuck from your head?

There is no definitive cure for cognitive itch:http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/scien... http://blogs.bu.edu/ombs/2011/10... More research seems to be centered on what causes it rather then what can cure it. It seems to be caused by something that has a familiar pattern but with an unusual twist, or something that requires resolution your brain can't provide. For example, Kylie's I-should-be-so-lucky,lucky,lucky,lucky... is perfectly designed to do severe psychological damage because of a combination of: insane levels of repetition, and a musically twisted hook that doesn't conform to the usual western changes you would expect in a song of it's nature. The repetition wares a groove in your thought patterns while the hook is really difficult to resolve in your head, after a while it starts to feel like one of those impossible 3D drawings that don't resolve.Damnit, now that bloody song is in my head!!However, the worst cognitive itch worms that get lodged in my ears tend to be stuff that I practice musically that I'm not happy with. I'll hear my own tortured, tired riffs in my head when I'm trying to focus on something unrelated. It's my personal hell.Replacing the song with another never works for me personally - my brain will happily accommodate multiple ear worms. The only cure with a high success rate for me is to listen to the song completely, from the beginning to the very end. Whatever unresolved aspect of the music that keeps it circling the airport seems to often get put to rest by doing this.

Okay, so i found the lyrics.......

The-Enchantment-Medley--Gloria,-It-s-Y... Lyrics

Gloria, my Gloria
Things ain't been the same since you've been away yeah
Gloria, my Gloria
I don't wanna see, another day

Seems like only yesterday
I beheld your sweet face
And in my lonely room are memories
Of your embrace

Gloria, my Gloria
Things ain't been the same since you been away, yeah, yeah
Gloria, oh baby
I don't wanna see another day

Isn't it funny, how time can change
All the things you once believed
But time won't change, the way i feel
Cause in my mind, it's still you and me
You and me

Gloria, my Gloria, yeah
Things ain't been the same since you been away, yeah, yeah

Gloria, oh baby I don't wanna see
Another day

I don't wanna see, naw, another day
Without your love, I don't wanna see, no, another day
It's a real sad thing, but I, oh I
Don't wanna see another day
Without your love I don't wanna see, no, another day
It's gonna hurt me but I, don't wanna see
Not another day
Don't wanna see

Something strange is happening
You don't belong to me anymore it seems
I'm all alone in my dreams, yeah
I just feel so weak
No one knows the pain I see, when I'm all alone
Now that you're gone

My world is cold, my friends are few
Without you here my joy seems cruel
And when you left you took all of me
What can I do?

It's you that I need, baby baby
It's you that I need, I'm lonely
It's you that I need, come on baby
Come back home

It's you that I need
It's you that I need
It's you that I need right now
It's you that I need yeah, yeah

Baby baby it's you that I need (3x)
Baby baby

Baby baby it's you that I need (3x)
Baby baby

Baby baby it's you that I need (2x)

Thoughts repeat over and over?

I know it's SO frustrating - I have it too. People tend to call it "racing thoughts" or "the committee". This is likely caused by stress or anxiety, but also can be caused by addictions, abuse of caffeine, and is a symptom of some other mood disorders.
My coping mechanisms: I try to replace the song lyric with a more soothing song. If I wake up with a song racing through my head I'll often spend my time in the shower singing a church hymn or other song that I find uplifting and relaxing. That REALLY helps.
It also helps to take a few moments to focus on your breath. Take a minute and breathe in as deep as you can, filling your lungs. Focus on the feeling in your lungs, focus on your chest rising and the air reaching down into your belly. Hold your breath for a moment or two, and then release it, focusing on the feeling of the air leaving your lungs and traveling out of your mouth. Do this several times, focusing on the breath, until you feel more calm.
Meditation tapes or music: I keep these with me on my MP3 player for if I ever get so lost in those thoughts. i also do the meditations on my own when I'm NOT freaking out so that I can be better at getting into a relaxed state when I AM freaking out.
Exercising is a GREAT way to clear your head. I find that when I'm running, my mind can't keep up and I am forced to relax my thoughts.
Refocusing exercises, like crossword puzzles, sudoku, model building and crafts also help.
Sometimes I try to write down each thought as it enters my head because sometimes if I write them down I can let them go.
You can also see a therapist for more tips. If you're in school, talk to the school counselor.
Other tips: avoid caffeiene and sugar as well as nicotine, alcohol and other drugs.

DON'T WORRY. You are NOT going crazy. Just see a doctor or therapist of the symptoms continue or get worse.

Music is constantly playing in my head?

I know this syndrome well ! I am 49 years old and I have had the music playing in my head for years and years. I don't think there is really ever a time it is not playing except for when I am really concentrating on work or something. But as soon as I'm done, zoom...the song is right back playing over and over and over!! The only thing to get rid of it is a new song. And if I hear a new one, it replaces the old one. I once had the theme to PeeWee's playhouse stuck in my head for 3 months, OMG that was awful! Anyway, it is called 'earworm' and here is what WebMD has to say about it:

They bore into your head. They won't let go. There's no known cure. Earworms can attack almost anyone at almost any time.

No, it's not an invasion of jungle insects. It's worse. Earworms are those songs, jingles, and tunes that get stuck inside your head. You're almost certain to know the feeling, according to marketing professor James J. Kellaris, PhD, of the University of Cincinnati.

Nearly 98% of people have had songs stuck in their head, Kellaris reported at the recent meeting of the Society for Consumer Psychology. The 559 students -- at an average age of 23 -- had lots of trouble with the Chili's "Baby Back Ribs" Jingle and with the Baha Men song "Who Let the Dogs Out." But Kellaris found that most often, each person tends to be haunted by their own demon tunes.

"Songs with lyrics are reported as most frequently stuck (74%), followed by commercial jingles (15%) and instrumental tunes without words (11%)," Kellaris writes in his study abstract. "On average, the episodes last over a few hours and occur 'frequently' or 'very frequently' among 61.5% of the sample."

What helps? Kellaris doesn't know. But he found that when people battle their earworms, nearly two-thirds of the time they try to use another tune to dislodge the one that's stuck. About half the time people simply try to distract themselves from hearing the stuck song. More than a third of the time people with songs stuck in their heads try talking with someone about it. And 14% of the time, people try to complete the song in their heads in an effort to get it to end.
