Does Juan Pablo Montoyas Faliure In Nascar Prove Nascar Is Better Then Formula One

Don't you think Nascar is a million times better than F1 and F1 is more for French men called Rene and Guy?

I'll tell you why Americans aren't interested in it. It's because you NEED some INTELLIGENCE to watch F1. There are things called CORNERS in F1 which require BRAKING. Nobody on the rest of the planet has heard of the hillbilly drivers except Juan Pablo Montoya. F1 has millions of pounds pumped into it each season while nascar has about 25 pence. Please return once you have lost some weight got rid of your advertisements and gained some intelligence.

Who would love to see a NASCAR driver in F1?

know it all: you can delude yourself all you want but the F1 teams do not particularly want an american driver. As for who will be the next to "defect", i dunno maybe the next one who gets fired and cant get a new ride, after all the last two were F1 rejects.

F1 doesnt have traction control anymore. Technologically advanced cars? Ahaha, name one american manufacturer that even begins to compete with BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar, Bugatti, Rolls Royce, Alfa-Romeo, etc. You cant make good road cars so what makes you think you can make decent racing cars?

And as for being the fittest drivers. You gotta be taking the piss here. Go to the main page of ESPNs nascar site and it has a list of 4 drivers who really impressed at daytona. Every one of them has a double chin and appears to be obese or at best overweight. They are not in shape. Someone that fat could not stand the G-forces in an F1 car. Tony stewart even admitted he doesnt really do physical training. Your clearly an idiot.

Is NASCAR the end of the line for most driving series?

I don't think that the drivers who have moved to Nascar from other series were "dropped or booted". They chose to make the move for whatever reason...being out of a ride hasn't been one of them. Juan Pablo Montoya, Sam Hornish Jr, Marcos Ambrose have been quite successful in Nascar. Oh, and don't forget about Tony Stewart. Of the ones that really haven't been successful in Nascar, Dario Franchitti is back and winning in IRL. Patrick Carpentier did so so in Cart and IRL, and still races part time in Nascar. Is he who you're referring to?

As for Nascar regulars having "difficulty negotiating anything beyond keeping a right foot down to the floor and turning left", I think you haven't done your research and homework. In the 45 road course cup races since 1986 (Watkins Glen and Sonoma only), Jeff Gordon has won 9, Tony Stewart has won 6, Mark Martin won 4, Ricky Rudd won 4, Rusty Wallace won 4. Richard Petty won 6 road courses in his career.

The cars are heavy and not designed for a road course. And yet these drivers do a great job on tracks they see only twice a year.

I think I would like to see two races....Both with a good mixture of the best drivers from Nascar, F1, Indy Car, and Cart. The first would be a road course and the second would be at Talladega. Talladega should be a breeze for the F1, Indy Car and Cart drivers. Its simply a matter of keeping the right foot down to the floor and turning left.

If NASCAR is a southern redneck sport, then why...?

NASCAR started with drivers from the South. In the past couple of decades, the series gained more fans from all walks of life and drivers from all over have joined. Call it redneck all you want, but it's open to anyone. Ever hear of Wendell Scott? He was the first black stock car driver. The Richard Pryor movie "Greased Lightning" was based on his life. Juan Pablo Montoya is a Colombian that used to drive in Formula One. There's even Hideo Fukuyama of Japan. And Danica Patrick, well, she grew up in Roscoe, Illinois, which is near Rockford, the world's largest hick town. So there went my argument.

Why does NASCAR suck?

i hate that nascar uses the same bodies now. i thought it was bad then now its worst with this rule. NASCAR would be much better if they were actually stock cars like the one we but so manufacturers could try making safer, more fuel effient, and have more fans. If i owned nascar, i would make the race car be either stock cars or suped up cars. Also they would not just go in circles for a long time. The track would be more difficult to drive in because of turns which would mean speed would not be everything. They would be longer and might be in remote places where this could be possible. NASCAR IS NOT A SPORT. I know it requires skill but isnt much of a sport. My rules would bring more fans to nascar. what do u think of em.

What can we expect from the 2008 Nascar season?

Jr will run well with Hendrick winning at least three races.
Toyota will have a better season but no a win.
Jimmie Johnson will continue his championship reign and will likely three-peat!
