At what point does life start?
In practical terms, if you are talking about us humans, a new life begins when one is separated from the umbilical cord, and starts to breathe and thrive outside the womb. Until then, it is still a potential life, entirely connected and dependent on the mother for 100% of its survival. Think what you will about the origin of that child, but it doesn't make sense to count them as an individual until they are actually born.In philosophical terms, if you are talking about the division between life and non-life on a historical or molecular level, the question is really unanswerable. Does it make sense to classify early self-replicating strains of proteins as life? Do we wait until there are large organisms with clearly defined structures to classify them as living? We may never know the complex set of circumstances that gave rise to living cells or the organisms that evolved from them. To me it makes sense for life to be a natural outcome of the physical properties of the universe, a self perpetuating exploration of the complexity of molecular interaction on a grand scale. I don't need to define a start point any more than I need to say precisely when the earth formed out of galactic debris, I simply try to understand the natural forces involved, and look in wonder at the various outcomes that are possible.

It is mostly believed that at the age of 40 people start evaluating every aspect of their lives. They think about the jobs they do which serve no other purpose but fulfill the monetary needs, which don't make them happy but suffocate them everyday. They catch the vibrations of all the people in their lives and their effects. Realizing the things they did and didn't do, the by gone opportunities which could have made life happier and the striking revelation of ignoring their inner voice and first hand feelings. This is called mid life crisis. Probably because of the worn out feeling which comes due to carrying the weight of an unhappy being and with the maturity that people attain at this age, people come to such realizations. This doesn't mean that life starts at 40, its all about how early you realize to give importance to what YOU feel while making a decision or taking any step forward in your life. You are what you think and feel, heed them and enjoy your individuality,. Every moment counts, make them happy and START NOW.
Does life end after High School?
Yes, absolutely. We scrimp and scrape and scrabble around, but gone are the carefree years when we can blame it all on our parents. ;] Seriously though, apart from the first decade after I left school my life has been far more fulfilling. I had / have got my problems, yet I remain happy and I have the experience to maximise my enjoyment of love and friendships with an openness and honesty I could not as a child.
