Hi. I use Casting Creme Gloss. It's a semi-permenant hair dye, so it will wash out after 4 weeks or so. You can use it on black hair, however it's not going to lighten it to a caramel color, but it will add shimmer, and deposit a different tone on it. E.g. My hair's a dull dark brown. I use casting creme gloss in light brown and it lightens it slightly, making it a lighter, shimmery brown. It makes hair look very healthy! Also, the longer you leave it on, the darker the color is, however if there's too much color, you can just wash you're hair a couple of times to remove some of the residue. Hope this helps!
