I have mild acne. have you ever tried minocycline? did it work for you? if so, how long did it take to start working? any other advise on what i can do besides taking minocycline, washing my face with a benzoyl peroxide and using the epiduo gel and proactiv refining mask?

Does minocycline treat acne marks as well?

Minocycline is an antibiotic which prevents and treats acne. It doesnot help scars. There are different creams available to treat them depending on the depth of the scar and whether they see pigmented scars. Consult a dermatologist.

Minocycline for acne?

Minocycline does work very well in clearing up acne, but it isn't something you want to be on long term. You do not want to go out in the sun while using it. It makes your skin sun sensitive and you can end up with a very blotchy complexion. Use a good sunscreen. Multivitamins and calcium supplements can make minocycline less effective if you take them too close together. And, looking at your avatar, you appear to be a male, but if you are a woman, you would not want to take it while nursing or pregnant.
Other than these, Minocycline has a very good success rate for clearing acne, but while you are taking it you should try and find a more permanent solution to your acne problem.

Does Minocycline 100 MG really work?

1. If it didn't fu*king work, it wouldn't be on the market. DUH!
2. YOUR DOCTOR TOLD YOU IT WOULD TAKE TWO FU*KING MONTHS! You have to give it the TWO MONTHS.
4. YOUR DOCTOR TOLD YOU IT WOULD TAKE TWO FU*KING MONTHS! You have to give it the TWO MONTHS.
6. IF this treatment doesn't work, there are many other different paths to take. That will be something YOU AND HE discuss when you've finished THIS course of antibiotics. Accutane is usually the last thing tried because it can have harsh side effects.
7. YOUR DOCTOR TOLD YOU IT WOULD TAKE TWO FU*KING MONTHS! You have to give it the TWO MONTHS.

Seriously... Why do you even go to the doctor if you don't listen to what they have to say?

Whatever you do, don't be a fu*ktard and just stop taking the meds because you're ONLY HALF WAY THROUGH and seeing results or not seeing results. That's how antibiotic resistant forms of disease are formed and will only make it harder for you to treat this same problem later.

Rule #1 for going to the doctor is to shut the fu*k up and learn to take direction.

They've spent YEARS learning how to treat little fu*ks like you and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars getting this education.

Going online and reading about a medication or disease makes you have the same information/knowledge that your doctor had his SECOND YEAR of training... ALL the other years are spent learning about how each medication and disorder happens in the real world... YOU can't get that knowledge without going to medical school and years of hands on training.

Internet access doesn't make you a doctor. It doesn't make you know 1/18th what your doctor knows. (And the fact that you're a teenybopper only reenforces this evaluation.)

Feel free to ask them anything you want when in the office but if you're told what to do, your doing it, but it's just not working as fast as you had hoped then SHUT THE FU*K UP AND FINISH THE TREATMENT before you do ANYTHING.

Does doxycycline help in clearing acne?

Yes, it's one of the first go-to medicines for doctors to prescribe when topical prescriptions aren't working. However, I personally had to start using minocycline because doxycycline caused really bad nausea to such a point where as soon as I took the pill, I ended up throwing up. So, if it effects you like that, ask if you can take minocycline instead, as the nausea effects don't seem to be as prominent.

Minocycline teen acne?

i was just prescribed minocycline for my acne im still a teen and i was wondering how affective it is please i want alot of input. if that didnet work for u did something else?? thank you!

Does Minocycline get rid of acne scars and red marks as well?

I have actually taken that medicine before and it helped but i had to go to the hospital because it was causing side affects if you do have a prescription for it i advise you to read the side affects part because i had a raise in my skin that was from taking the medication and it gave me real bad pains in my side and caused shortness of breath so if you experience that i really advise you to stop use. I'm not trying to scare you at all but i just don't want to see anybody get hurt. It didn't cause any bad things to my organs or anything and once i stopped using it i felt alot better. God bless.

Taking double does of Minocycline for acne?

I have been taking minocycline 100mg for my acne once daily like I was told by my dermatologist however I have been seeing very little results... My dermatologist seems to think everything is fine... What I was wondering is what would happen if I took two minocycline pills a day? Maybe only during the times when I have really bad breakout? Would this be a dangerous thing to do? Now obviously I know medication is supposed to be taken as directed blah blah blah. I was wondering if anyone has done this with this medication?

Thanks for the advice
