Does My Towl Mind Getting Wet When I Dry Myself On It

Why Japanese put a towel on their head, during hot spring??

♡It's quite simple really, most onsen don't want you to put towels into the onsen itself! Easy solution, put it on your head! Take a look:

That small towel is known as a 'humility towel' or 'modesty towel'. When you go to an onsen - hot spring- you usually get a big towel for drying the whole body off before putting your yukatta or clothes back on IN the changing area. The small towel is used to pat off the excess water AFTER you step out of the onsen and for *covering the body when walking around the onsen area. You shouldn't go back into the changing area dripping wet. Some people don't want their towels soaking wet. The area surrounding the onsen is often very wet. Thus, the people put their small towels on their heads. The people who don't really mind just set it someplace along side the outside of the onsen. Most men just carry the small towel with them. ~It DOES catch the sweat too though, I won't deny that!
Take a look at onsen etiquette here:
* Do not bring your large towel into the bath, most baths provide a small "humility" towel to cover yourself with.
* Washing clothes is not allowed. (wash cloths)
* Dry yourself with a towel before returning to the changing area.

Hope this helps!

Why are cats afraid of water? Why do most cats fear/hate getting wet? Are there any biological, psychological or behavioral explanations for this?

Cats have deep ear canals.(Here’s a human ear for comparison)Remember that the cat is a lot smaller than a human so while the ear itself is large, the inside is pretty tiny. Also you can see the angle. Why is this important? If moisture gets trapped in the ear it’s hard to get out, which can lead to infection. It’s why you see all cats position themselves to avoid getting the inside of their ears wet. Even Turkish Vans (We have several of them) who will sit in the rain are careful to avoid getting water inside their ears. It’s why ear mites are common in stray cats. Whatever gets inside the ear won’t easily come out.The other reason is that most cats have an undercoat:The undercoat has no protection against moisture. If it gets wet it gets soaked and holds the water close to the skin like a wet tee shirt. This is dangerous for cats in colder weather because if it gets soaked they will be in danger of hypothermia and can die quickly.Turkish Vans have oily fur and no undercoat so that their skin doesn’t get soaked in the rain and if they go in the water their fur will shed the water quickly and with a good shake, kind of like a dog.Edit:I’ve been asked to share some Turkish Van cat pictures:Here you go:GermanicusA temporary boarder who now has a new permanent home and Celia in the background. We have more of them, but this is enough.

How do I stop getting so wet down there?

The other day my boyfriend fingered me. It was the first time for both of us to experience that sort of thing, and before he, you know, did it, I was already REALLY wet... Then eventually I had to tell him to stop doing it because it was TOO wet down there...

Later on that day he did it again, and I was still as wet as I was the first time... It was so embarrassing, though he claimed it didn't bother him...
But I had to dry myself off before he did it to me the second time which killed the mood right off...

I don't really mind it being a little wet when it happens, because obviously it's "Mother Nature's Lube" so the actual wetness is not a problem, it's the amount that appears.

I know getting wet down there is a natural thing, and you can't stop it from happening... But I'm just wondering if there is any way that you can reduce the amount of, you know, wetness down there? And should I consult a doctor in case there is something wrong with me practically flowing like a river?

I know a lot of you will answer "Just ignore it, it's natural" But please, please, please give me a solution to it... even if it's a crazy method, I don't care, I just don't want to have to be so wet down there all the bloody time !!!

I apologize if this has made any of you cringe, but it's been bugging me for a long time, and where better to ask than here...

I'd appreciate answers A.S.A.P ... Thanks x

What do couples do to avoid semen getting everywhere after having sex?

Going anonymous for obvious reasons. Yeah, sex is messy. A local bar here calls itself “The Wet Spot”. Very cleaver. We all know that’s the spot on the bed you try to avoid afterwards. My wife used to quickly run off each time to clean up, but that really spoiled the mood. For additional protection, we’d lay down a dark towel first if we were close to or into that time of the month.Over time, we’ve learned to position ourselves to keep the mess off the bedding as much as we can as we snuggle and cuddle afterwards, or move on to the next round, even if we’re a mess ourselves. Eventually, it runs and thins, driving us out using some interesting maneuvers to get off the bed and into the bathroom to clean up there without spilling the mess on the bedding. We’ve become pretty good at that and have never really got into the habit of trying to clean ourselves up while still in bed. To each, their own.I personally don’t mind having it spread out and dried on me. It comes off easily in the shower, and once dry, it stays put as long as you don’t rub those areas on the bedding. Another good choice, albeit a minority choice, is to realize that it’s harmless and in the way. Just lick up, and be done with it so you can stay as long as you want, doing whatever you want to do next. Sometimes, that’s just the better choice.

Is it true that sleeping with wet hair will cause headaches?

The myths that connect water, temperature and health date back to the late 1700s .Still, it seems that old wives’ tales, such the dangers of sleeping with wet hair, are hard to die off.We know now that illnesses are either caused by virus or bacteria, and that wet hair has very little to do with disease.Still, advising against sleeping with wet hair may be a good call, after all.The British Medical Journal (BMJ, for short) reported in 2008 that about 7 to 10 percent of our body temperature is released through our head. Essentially, this means that the human head is a sensitive area for body temperature. The significance of this fact is that sleeping with wet hair is likely going to drop your body temperature to a point that you will not sleep comfortably.Once the body starts cooling down, so will your limbs, hands and feet. Try to keep your body in a temperate environment as much as possible, especially at night time.Your head hurts a lot when you sip a frozen drink really fast through a straw. This head freeze can also happen as a result of extreme exposure to cold temperatures in the environment.Like previously stated, body heat is lost through our heads. Sleeping with wet hair in a very cold climate, with not enough protection, will start weakening and dehydrating you. When you are asleep, you are unable to control your protection against the cold, and you continue to sleep while your body temperature continues to drop. These extreme changes in temperature are dangerous, and can lead to other issues.A headache, however, will surely be the first negative symptom of sleeping with wet hair.Read more:Is Sleeping With Wet Hair Bad For You?!?

Could shaking your head, as to dry hair after showering, eventually cause brain damage over time?

Im aware that I could always just use a towel. I choose not to do so because I hate to include another towel into my simple routine. I shake off as much water as I can before even using my towel in order to keep it from getting more wet, thus absorbing the remaining water on my body, and hair, and drying myself faster.
Im just curious if my non-extra-towel routine could be causing damage. Ive done this every day for as long as I can remember.
Also, I have medium length hair, almost to my shoulders, which is why I shake.

Sometimes when people have fever they put a cold wet cloth on their forehead. How does this cool them off?

When you have fever, the priority is not to cool the entire body (you shouldn’t if the fever is not too high, heat helps kill the bacteria or microbes) but just to cool the head.If your head gets over 102F, you will start to have incoherent thoughts, and usually hit full delirium between 104 and 106F. Even if the fever is not dangerous yet, acting incoherently may be. Although fever is very close to be dangerous by itself when you hit 106F.As for the rest of your body, it has inherent mechanism to lower its temperature, like sweating profusely or sending more blood to your skin. These don’t work as well in your head because of your hair. So your body will be fine much longer than your head. And, no, cooling your head won’t do much for cooling your body. You may loose 80–90% of your body heat through your head when you’re outside, on a cold winter day, and your body is fully covered except your head, but naked, the heat loss through your head is less than 20%. Since, usually, you don’t wear winter clothes when you’re inside with a fever, cooling your head won’t work. A cool bath is a better option if the fever gets too close to 108F, which is the dangerous limit for the body.

Is it ok to walk your dog in the rain, or what are alternatives?

T4A2A, Jason.(Quora isn’t allowing me to change my default bio. Here it is: Dogs are Rorschachs reminding us we need to remember to put ourselves into our own equations.)Great leaders do whatever they want. Great followers follow their leaders. If you don’t ever go on walks in the rain, you’re training your dog to not go walking in the rain. What you do and what you don’t do trains your dog, every moment of every day of its life. There are even more repercussions, becauseyou can train your dog to do what you want, you can train your dog to not do what you don’t want him to do,but you can also, unknowinglytrain your dog to do what you don’t want him to do, ortrain your dog to not do what you would like him to do.It’s about your awareness of yourself and your dog. Great leaders are as in-the-moment as their dogs are. It’s an indicator, and if you’re aware of the awareness, then that’s an even better indicator. You always want a calm, balanced dog.

How can I keep my hair color from leeching into my clothes/sheets?

Ask your stylistIf this was a DIY color, it’s likely that you didn’t rinse your hair completely enough to prevent the leeching. If you are going to bed with wet or damp hair, dry it first. It’s critical that the cuticle be closed and it must be dry to do that.If you are washing your hair every day or every other day in hot water, don’t do that. You are opening the cuticle and allowing the color to leak. I know it sounds crazy but use lukewarm to barely cool water. That will help. Wash your hair LESS too. * I personally have tried # 4 and I use lukewarm water for shampoo, rinse with barely cool water. It helps me maintain my newly RED hair so that very little color is lost!
